Greatest goalkeeper, manager, defender, captain, midfielder, cult hero and season ?
Don't know who selected the nominees but some in my opinion were ridiculous e.g. Martinez as a cult hero!

I will be putting the nomination films and the winners on the @CFCFPA feed this week.
Gordon dale won the midfielder award. Blakey the defender.
The cult heroes were selected out of a Speakeasy session. Angel was a regular in The HUB for obvious reasons.

The most senior member of the Club's staff, Sally Swain, did attend.
Unsurprising, when you consider another post on this thread.

Very surprised Dyche wasn't nominated as captain and/or defender
The cult heroes had a criteria of playing less than 50 games for us I believe.
We had 150 years to cover, we couldn't have everybody just from the last 50 years....

Well you managed it as everyone on this shortlist had played well within the last 40 years....

Newt, here as a player for as long as Angel, was a regular too, although not down at the hub

The positional awards and nominations usually went with appearances.
Defining midfield when it was 2-3-5 was more difficult so i looked at the wider half-backs as well as the outside-right and left. For this category everyone who saw him play described Gordon Dale as the best player they ever saw for the Club. He was sold to the league champions for £20k when the world record was £34k.
Captains were not always noted but Munday was recorded as the Club's captain for some time. Milburn was noted for his captaincy. After this I went with blokes who lifted trophies inj the main. Dyche came close thus the use of his as a headline image.
I gave Bob Newton the same prominence for the cult hero although the 50 game limit excluded him. I had fletch on my original list but he was replace by Tcham after a speakeasy session. Kendall was a shoe-in for this but finding unusual fans' favourites from before recent memory was a struggle.
For the final list there was only one change from the wider "heritage group" that being Stevenson for Jim Brown. Jim's wider contribution might see him considered for the top award at some point.

Graham Cross would have got my vote.

great natural talent. Galvanised the whole team. Nobody at Tairn could understand how we got him for 12 games. That story would be interesting.
