Couldn't agree more! Fantastic evening out so congratulations to Pete and the rest of the organisers...it was absolutely top notch!

Aide Shaw was the guest on our table and you couldn't have met a nicer bloke. Really friendly and very interesting to chat to as he's still heavily involved in the game.

We had Jonathan Howard, he's a scout at Derby

Was a good night only problem was we booked a table for 10 when we got there we saw the seating plan which was fine but had people sat in our seats which meant our group was split up even though we booked a table. Overall an enjoyable evening even though they skipped over the past 10 years and concentrated more on the vintage past disappointed jack didn't make it as was advertised

Groan. Ashley gave the Chatsworth farce a swerve because he thought it was inappropriate elitism. I wonder what his reason was for missing last night?

We enjoyed it too, food was lovely, and the talk through the history very interesting, we had Billy Mcewen and his wife on our table, a lovely couple and very friendly, unfortunately billy is suffering with parkinsons, but did his best to join in the conversation and was great to talk too

I'd like to think he politely and nobly declined invitations realising the evening could've become all about him, Dave.

However a cynical and suspicious part of me thinks it was more to do with facing a room full of genuine Town fans with questions he couldn't answer.

Then an even more cynical and suspicious part of me wonders if it was 'cos there was nowt in it for him...

PS: well done to the Trust. Good to know there're still folk who can organise things properly and for the right reasons.

I really don't know, but it was a trust event not a club event. As far as I am aware the only club employees there last night apart from the catering staff, was Nick Johnson and Tina Jenner, who were part of the proceedings.

It was a supporters event but organised by the Trust.

If you are looking for Club representation then there isn't much to choose from as there are only three Directors. JC helped put it together and MW held meetings and got general Club support but both are abroad this week. AC suggested and sorted out the commemorative coin and I understand had another event.

It wasn't really an fuction for the current first team, even if one of them was notified. We didn't attempt to get those nominated or their families there and there was only one winner present as a late replacement.

NJ is of course va CFCCT trustee and TJ works for the Trust on a self-employed basis.

The most senior member of the Club's staff, Sally Swain, did attend.

Well you can tell Carson was in charge of the coin as it wasn't ordered in time so we all had to put our names on envelopes and await a call to let us know when they have it

Did you hand any cash over?

I view him the same way I view those characters who turn up on your doorstep offering to tarmac your drive or trim your conifers...

AC tells me he didn't return from London till 9pm. John Croot in Tenerife. Mike Warner also on holiday.

He says the artwork on the coin was only agreed 4 weeks ago. The die now needs cutting before the commemorative coin can be produced. Says it's outside his control as it's a very specialised job to cut dies but it shoild be nice when produced.
