I've just come back from Faro and did indeed drive there from Huelva. We flew Ryanair from East Mids to Faro and paid £30 outbound and only £20 to come back. Hire cars are reasonably cheap at Faro airport, but expect to pay about 37 euros for the cross border green card permit. Its also on a toll road which was about 8-10 euros only. The motorway was very quiet too.The journey from Faro to Huelva takes about an hour. Best way to do it if you can get the flights at the right price.

Faro to Huelva by sea shouldn't be a problem? Should it?

As well as a very quick direct route, there are another buses. The Lagos > Sevilla route (Dumas are the operators), but it goes around the houses.

I caught it from Sevilla to Faro Airport 2 years ago and it took over 4 hours. Can't remember how long it took between Huelva and Faro but it was at least 3 hours

Fine if you want a road trip and have a little patience.

I think 40 degrees is slightly above where it normally is, with all due respect. Don't reckon they get the forest fires that have been all over the news the past fortnight every year.

Did a reccy today en route to Seville, nice stadium, one modern main stand, running track on outside of pitch. Nothing around the ground but the sea front bars of Monte Gordo are just 3kms (7 min drive) away.

Dagenham & Redbridge were training on the training pitch opposite
