Sheff United midfielder set to sign, I guess as a peace offering.

Blunts say he's got something to him, so fingers crossed.

Sources are various journalists on Twitter.

Strangely out of him, Brooks and throwing Dimaio into the mix he's got the most appearances for the Blunts so potentially not a bad signing but saying that i know nothing about him

He's actually pretty good! I wouldn't be at all sorry if this turned out to be true. Was heralded as their next bright young thing when he was REALLY young but not heard much about him of late.

Soccerbase appears to be down, so I can't check this currently, but I recall last time I looked he made just one appearance last season, in the tinpot cup. I stand to be corrected, but it does suggest Wilder has different thoughts on the youngster to his predecessor.

Potentially so and not the first time different managers have different stances on players. Fair to say Wilder was backed with decent money to bring in players where as previous managers probably had to use what they had a bit more. It was only something i read elsewhere as well re the appearance stats so even last season aside he must have had something to have been involved with the first team as much as he had prior to Wilder coming in.

39 first team appearances and youngest player to play for the Blunts in the league, must have something about him.

United fan said he's got potential to be player of the year in league 2. Obviously got something about him, it takes a lot to impress the blunts.

As much as I wouldn't say no to this signing, it just adds to the inexperience of the central midfield if anything. Crying out for a leader - Morsy/Ryan partnership in there. Obviously not possible but if we had Morsy/Ryan in our squad i'd put my house on us going up now.

If he comes then he will be a useful addition to the squad if he's fully fit. Remember seeing him when he burst onto the scene 3 years ago under Clough I think. Was going to be the next big thing ....lost his way under Adkins and it seems he's surplus under Wilder... not physical but can look after himself and is only small in stature...but he's busy and quick...nearly 20 but looks 12. Let's hope the height and physicality in midfield will come from the one more signing that we all know we need.
