Think we've already covered that....what i'm saying is that if they, for arguments sake, had three rows of safe standing with 15 "spots" on each row surely they would only allow 15 folk into the row not just say that area can take 45 people and not care whereabouts in that three rows they go and end up with 20 on one row for example.

The Kop was left at Saltergate imo. Calling behind the goal at the new ground the Kop doesn't really work for me tbh.

At least they are aware of the want amongst fans to be able to have the choice..

Personally I like sitting now. I'm nearly 50 and have no interest in standing up anymore. In my younger days I wouldn't have dreamt of sitting and loved standing in the Kop with my mates, surging forward getting crushed up against the barriers, tripping over half full coke bottles rolling down the steps, wandering around standing with different groups of mates, It was great fun and all part of the experience.
Safe standing seems rather pointless to me, it's just sitting but stood up, if that makes any sense.
If people think safe standing will be like it used to be standing on the Kop I fear they would be sadly disappointed.
The only way to get that Kop feeling back would be a whole standing end. I'd move to a seat and let the standers have their standing back. I can't see that ever happening though.

Just my thoughts.

Can't have folk cascading down the terraces like back in the day lol. I'm past wanting to stand but others might enjoy the safe standing option.

This system does not allow that.

It's a lot different. I've been to several grounds in Germany + Celtic Park in the safe standing, it's much safer.

I thought this too but if Shrewsbury are doing it then it can't be the case. I assume their ground was build similarly to ours, i.e with the intention of not having safe standing so if they don't need to reinforce then neither do we. It isn't a capacity increase either its 1 for 1.

As for pricing, if it meant the chances of pushing this through and improving the atmosphere at games then I'd be happy for prices not to come down. It's only in Germany where the terraces are the cheap areas, I believe Celtic didn't change prices so as much as I think footy is expensive i'd rather pay more to stand than less, in a roundabout way. I'm looking forward to Accrington, Forest Green, Barnet etc this season purely for the novelty of standing on a terrace.

Barnet is all seater for away fans now.The only terracing left is the home end.

Only a matter of time before somebody suggests 'safe standing ' at a cinema to watch a film.

Exeter home end is the best left in English football

It's a cracker that. Always liked the ones behind the goal at Peterborough too until they made the away end seated.

Heard that the terrace at Barnet had been packed up and will be used at Exeter for the new away end

If it does away with inconsiderate fans jumping up and obscuring your enjoyment then bring it on.
God I hate this league.
