Agreed.

If AC really is to be a man of his word let's see who received what and when.

I suggest he starts with the deal that saw Anyon and Wiseman arrival via LPM.

Picking up on a point made on the "More Gossip" thread by a "very wise old sage". Do agents who fix up a trial for some Tom, Dick or Harry get some minimal renumeration for one of their flock having a "run out" at Causeway Lane, for example.

Ashley could use the arrival and departure of Jon Nolan for his case study. A nice neat, short, sharp example. Can't wait, especially to see how many times CT features.

Pretty simple stuff really, Dave: player leaving/arriving; names involved; fees exchanged.

I'm sure our friend 'Moondog' will point AC in the direction of this thread and remind him of his own words.

I've asked and he's happy to provide the name of the agent and fee when all the deals are complete, whilst adding not all of the deals have required agents

Non-agent deals, 'M'?

Blimey - is there really such a thing these days?

But anyway, thanks for that and I/we await his list with interest.

I think this will be because not all players have them

It seems to me that it's perfectly possible to construct a squad made up of agentless players if you put your mind to it, unlike what CT told us. I wonder why?

On this point, I recall we didn't spend much on agents fees in 2010-11 v other clubs in league two. However I can only find the summary report on the net, not the 'league table'. If anyone can find it and provide a link it would be interesting to see.

I would suspect in this day and age a player not having an agent was in the minority...wasnt it always made a big deal how Jack Lester used the PFA to do his contracts and how unusual that was?

By the bye really. It's how we compare to other clubs that I am interested in. It seems in the year to Jan 17 we paid £93k per the official figures. Way behind the likes of Charlton, but way above Rochdale £15k, Oldham £4K, Gillingham £10k and Walsall £21k.

Well as they were up to Jan it'll be a terrific starting place for Ashley 'transparency on agent fees' Carson.

But will he nominate Turner as an agent?. A document aired on here a few months back confirmed that CFC had employed an agent to act for them. Why the bludddy hell the football club should need an agent is anybody's guess.

I cannot understand why any player requires an agent when they can employ the PFA or any commercial lawyer worth their salt. The majority of players already pay into the PFA so why not use them. They would have a good idea of the going rate for the category of player under consideration also the player would not be giving a cut to an agent & in a lot of instances be much better looked after in the longer term.
