Ashleys "110% Wrong" reply was in direct response to me saying that O'Grady was the 'rumoured' striker as he'd been seen at the Proact on Monday.

Ok fair enough ...Sometimes these things can be mlsinterpreted. He's been seen at the ground...There's speculation in the media....I know he knows Steve Eyre from his time at Rochdale and he may have been conveniently passing and popped in for a cuppa. Do I believe that's the case.....Well I guess the next few days will tell us either way.

Chris O'Grady & #chesterfieldfc talk true. Has other offers but plenty in #spireites favour, I'm told. A case of wait and see...

Hasn't Ashley Carson said the rumour about O Grady isn't true ? Ignore that just read rest of thread couldn't get it all up on my phone

If Armand comes back I will join notapennymore brigade, sorry but he is not the future.

I cannot fault his effort but lacks consistency and has no anticipation in his play

Do you want to buy my signed, match worn Armand home shirt from his first season here?

I've never washed it, so might have some of his sweat still on it!

And yet another piece of nonsense written by a nobody appears on Twitter and becomes semi fact. What is it with Twitter, anyone can write any old crap and suddenly everyone's talking as though it's actually a possibility. I just don't get it.

Ashley has just tweeted me back to suggest its "110% Wrong" about O'Grady.

110% wrong? It's no wonder the club's in the state it is with this mathematical wizard in charge.

I'm talking the situation. Other offers etc. We are in a good position blah blah.

We could be being used as a vehicle to up his kudos.

When you're as desperate for players as we are and we've had all the posturing & bluster about needing to sign players early, every player and agent all over the place knows they can use the club as "the jam in the sandwich".

All they'll be interested in is getting a better deal for themselves because of our situation. O'Grady (Chris or Paul) could let any other team know that CFC are interested because we've shot our mouths off about talking to un-named players; they are that secret footballer. Once again, the dumb-witted public statements by big-time Ashley can hurt us by improving the contract offers of potential targets from other clubs.

Just STFU and announce the signings as and when...

To be fair, it looks like Higgins had recently been in the area, Meadowhall to be precise -with his camera phone.

Is Alan Partridge heading up a hostage negotiation there?
These go to eleven.

Latest from AC on twitter:

"have decided to only report actual signings . Not speculations or possibles. But rest assured we are still working hard.

immediate replied to by his resident stalker (and resident multi-IDer Suzi Kowalksi):

"It was getting a bit like 20 questions and guesses...Am I a famous footballer...lol...:-)"

Given the amount of times AC tweets and she replies pretty quickly anyone would think.................

Someone needs to take his twitter account off him. I was about to say it's becoming embarrassing but we're beyond that now.

Our Media department must be shaking their heads at Cashley's loose cannon. It wouldn't have happened in Geoff Mitchell's day. (possibly)

It wouldn't have happened in that day because Alan Walters would have got on with his job, rather than fish for compliments at the way he was doing it.

Little bit torn here as Carson etc are in a bit of cant do right for doing wrong. Football is massively different to how it was back in the days being mentioned and with social media, 24hr sports news channels, internet forums etc during the off season folk are continually looking for news about whats happening etc. People see no news as sign of nothing happening and start moaning about it. Carson could possibly got about his twittering a bit better in terms of how he words things but he is just folding a little to the folk bombarding him for updates about signings on there when he is saying stuff.
