In your experience, would such a 'hired good' be more or less likely to cooperate and reveal his 'employer' with police involvement or if a busload of Chesterfield supporters paid him a visit and turned up on HIS doorstep??
Sammy, the private investigators have done a fantastic job in tracking the 'hired goon' down and have passed on his details to the police. The police may think they have enough to interview him and charge him with an offence, but let's take it a step further. Do I think he will reveal his paymaster? No I don't, do I think there would be further repercussions? Yes I would. Would a busload of Chesterfield supporters turning up at his home or place of work achieve anything? No it wouldn't, and it would make us to be no different to the scum who is hiding behind the thugs. This is not some type of 'normal' hired thug that has paid F2 a visit, these guys have connections to serious links of organisations that shouldn't be messed with. The location of this thug is reported to have 1 of the highest gun crime rates for a city. He will not be alone and he and his associates have no respect for law & order.
It is disgusting to think that something related to our club and for posts that have appeared on BB has resulted in this episode of events. People think Darren Brown was bad but he was just a petty thief & con man compared to what we are up against.
There is only 1 solution and that is for someone to come along and buy the club. We need a new start and a complete break from anyone & everything that surrounds CFC. It's a complete guessing game to know who is behind the thug but can be narrowed down to a few individuals.
I respect anyone who decides notapenny more but I have no problems either with those who renew their season tickets as I have also renewed. It will not help CFC to stifle money, I would also guess that there will not be enough money going in to pay for the running of the club so we with be in a catch 22 situation with DA having to keep loaning more money into the club through shortfalls in cash flow. If people think that any of next seasons cash will end up in DA's pockets then I'm afraid you may be wrong. There are a lot of people employed by CFC and they need paying. Nobody knows DA's end game but I doubt that he would allow the club to fold. Possibly his gambling licence could be affected if we went into liquidation so for that reason I would think the club is safe. However the club would de-value further if we were to lose our football league status, so I would like to think that there will be a strong possibility of the team doing well next season. After this weekend I conclude that I hate gardening so I will look forward to the start of the season & do what I have always done on a Saturday for 55 years.
