AC has provided the following explanation regarding the bank account access

" 1 - For clarification, until about a year ago, because like everything else, the Development Centre had been classed by Barclays as part of the Club, hence why when we opened our Online Banking their account was linked to our other 4 active accounts.

2 - The Bank Manager was always concerned about the cash and lack of it in the Development Account and he would inform me if there was a problem. I was also able to ask if the account was showing any real credit or on the breadline.

3 - Once the account had been changed and the old account closed we were not able to see a transaction by transaction again, and I never asked the bank for this detail, I would not expect to get it.

4 - However I was issued with their information relating to the PSG Trip as there were several cheques that had been bounced and the Bank informed me of these and confirmed the 2 specific ones relating to the Travel Company"

1 - But AC has told all and sundry that it's never been part of the club. Is he seriously trying to tell us that the bank dictated the DC as part of CFC in financial terms, and CFC had to accept it? Why didn't AC ever separate the finances when he had the golden opportunity?

2 - So AC received financial information abut the DC from the outset, knew the difficulties it was in, but never acted upon it?

3 & 4 - So AC stopped asking under the assumption that he would not get a response, but the bank informed him voluntarily of bounced cheques? That tells us that AC knew of the shenanigans but again refused to act.

Hopeless...

So, a firm of solicitors - and CFC sponsors - couldn't separate the Club and CFCFDS when pursuing a CCJ and now we're told Barclays bank - Barclays effing bank, for crying out loud - made a similar mistake?

Well here's a weird-assed theory I've just plucked from thin air - the two businesses were inextricably linked all along despite Town fans being repeatedly told otherwise.

Infact going back to the start of this thread and recalling just who said that and how often might be an interesting exercise...
Never underestimate the stupidity of people

I know that, but it's just like putting a plaster over a large, gushing cut. What I mean is, no measures were taken to address or correct the problem.

Wor I don't understand is....if the ex-directors had equal status to Ashley at Board meetings, why didn't they see the CFCFDS accounts and do summat?

The truth must be that from the start Barclays wouldn't extend credit to Torville and Dean unless CFC acted at guarantors. So Ashley the rotweiler prowls the perimeter fence and regularly chucks Dave Allen's money over it. Why else would he have any interest in what happened at CFCFDS?. No need to tell other directors. No need for the promises of financial independence made to supporters to be re-examined. No need to question unusual payments out of CFCFDS accounts (all 4 of them). No need to investigate why cash flow was so dire in spite of regular large collections being taken from parents. No need to respond to months of written complaints from parents and staff. No need to bother Shorts about it.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Whatever's happened won't be discussed on here Dave for good reasons. I'm sure in time things will be revealed for all to digest.

The thick plottens.
That surely is an admission that he knew last year that CFC players had been paid by the DS?
As I've said privately to Ashley, this needs clearing up sharpish.

Not good at clearing things up is Ashley.

So the club and the DC were linked at least financially then, despite all the denials.
