I thought I remembered a comment from someone along the lines of "its £200k all together if he gets them to the championship." So we get £xx amount for 1 promotion then the rest for another.

Turner did in fact achieve that outcome when he appointed PC. The difference in PC's money compared to Sheridan's over 2 years paid for Sheridan's settlement.
