Dunno what happened at Bolton and 'Vale were pretty lousy on the day, but what is for certain is that after a couple of encouraging results normal service was embarrassingly resumed against a pretty ordinary Southend outfit.

Perhaps folk might point at a transparently one-sided ref yet let's be straight: he could've redded Stuckman for his reckless penalty conceding challenge, he could've redded Anderson for his ugly foul and he could've redded Gardner for hacking down their player after losing the ball. Indeed I openly wondered after that if Town players were looking for an early get-away.

Yes a number of Southend players had got away with a number of questionable challenges and 'DD' was arguably hard done by. However we'd failed to achieve a single shot on target with eleven men so let no one - no one - blame the shambles that's currently CFC on a biased referee.

Another weird-assed formation from Caldwell. Three-four-two-one? Summat like that. But then he's only fielding what his own useless deadline day recruitment and others' loss-driven talent exits have left him. Can someone please explain why he wants the ball passed from 'keeper to defender only for that defender to go long because he's no options? I'm all for passing football, though that demands the kinda movement and co-ordination this group simply aren't demonstrating.

A collection of experienced pro's he's already allegedly fallen out with and youngsters who, though promising, have been thrown into a situation no youngster should be thrown into.

I guess some managers might've cobbled together a more stubborn opposition after going down to ten men, yet the second half had 'Shrimpers players just queueing up to score. And they did. Easily.

I left after their third.

So who's hurting in the same way those hordes of Spireites who left at the same time as me are hurting: Dave Allen? Ashley Carson? Chris Turner? Guy Branston? That zero experienced former Assay Office employee-come kit man, the bloke running the lounges who I heard celebrating a Wednesday win the last time I was in there, Pukka Pies rep's or any of the other folk who've somehow become associated with Town over recent times?

Nah, I reckon we're just a past or potential pay-day to them.

Which means it's just us, the good people of North Derbyshire who've turned up in our thousands only to see our support abused and money squandered. Or worse, much, much worse.

A group of committed, long-term Town fans unfurled a banner before the first home game saying: 'Scandal After Scandal: What Next?'

Well they've had their answer: more scandal, more lies, more mismanagement, more talent exits, resignations, insolvency and relegation.

If folk wanna endorse that by buying another season ticket then fine, be my guest.

Just don't come crying to me when we're another Leyton Orient in twelve months time...

Its an embarrassing shambles that they are welcome to, at least on an upside its something less to worry about for quite a while.

I think we are finished Chris. Until we get new ownership nothing changes we keep on falling. As for the Manager well I think he is worse than Saunders. AFC chesterfield and a groundshare with Matlock is on the cards.

You know what, I'd rather watch a reformed AFC style CFC groundsharingnwith Staveley than hand over any money to these dee dahs.

Rather sadly that is presently quite a plausible answer to the current impasse.

I blame referees for our decline. If they had not organised such a great conspiracy against us over so many years then we would be League Champions.
These go to eleven.

Chris I'm no sycophant but that is a top post and encapsulates how I feel. I am however going to buy a season ticket because the alternative is a shopping trip on a regular basis. And H I really do feel his post deserved better than the response you gave old lad.
