ok, vale were absolute garbage it has to be said but we beat them. I have been thus far unconvinced by Caldwell and his ideas but there were for me signs yesterday that players are beginning to get to grips with this system, of course it helps when you play the likes of hird and jones. big test will come on Friday as southend will provide a much stiffer test but I have to say that yesterday well just seemed better. finally the recruitment of a midfield is key this close season, over to you mr branston.
