The keeper deserves a deal for next season even if he is back up to Tommy. Today he pulled off a worldly save and commanded excellently

I expect to see Stuckmann here next year with Anderson.

And I'm even coming around to the view the Gardner deserves another contract as he seems more involved these days. He actually looks to go hunting for the ball rather than let things drift after a flashy 10 minutes Without those stupid showboat passes he sometimes does, he'd be a shoo-in for another contract

Gardner did well as for a new contract only as back up, mcginn lookt knackt after 20 mins, spent most of the game playing catch up, he lookt to be running through mud and had his hands on his hips for the most part, dennis ran his socks off, he should bag a few in L2, anderson looks better now he don't have evo at his side and maguire and him seem to pair up well, back to back clean sheets too.... things looking up for next season at the mo, hope we can finish the season strongly to keep the hope there.

Stuckmann will be here and I have no problem with that. Anderson will inevitably be offloaded by Burnley and will do a job in L2 if we sign him. And why not give Dan G a season in L2.

I'll be kind and give MCGINN the benefit of the doubt on fitness grounds

Wasn't it McGinn that got back to put that outrageously good tackle on the PV player who was straight through late in the 2nd half?

McGinn is another one that needs the benifit of the doubt.

Also a mention for grimshaw who came on and made a vital back header at the far post as Vale tried to get the equaliser at the end

More like Tommy as back up. What has he done wrong to warrant dropping?

Their forum is in meltdown. Something along the lines of we can't even beat bluddy Chesterfield.

If Stuckmann stays and Lee ever comes back, he'll have to work hard for his place, perhaps the first time in his CFC career

My thoughts and observations today
First half was clearly 2 struggling sides lacking confidence although it was nice to see us have some attempts on goal. Second half pretty much the same and it was clear whoever got the first goal would win. Stuckman class reflex save to keep us level and a good follow up from Joe Rowley and we scored first.
Joe Rowley looks promising but needs to be wary of some heavies who might try and kick him. Gardner was very good at times and possibly worth a 1 year contract for league 2. We looked more confident at the back. Dennis was very heavy footed at times especially in the first half but improved after the break. Simons runs around like a headless chicken and will be gone at the end of the season. Jones was better today
Poor officials again but bad for both sides.
No AC today, he must be on a cooking course or cleaning under the carpet.
Faupala sat in front of me and was more interested in playing games on his phone that watching the game, didn't appear for the second half till 5 mins from end. Saw Paul Lemon in reception but didn't get chance to talk.

Overall a much nicer Saturday evening on the back of 3 home points but the reality hits home when you look at the league table

Hearing Ched is fit, if so why not playing?

So wonder the story is on Ched? Caldwell said in his pre match interview, it was a case of one step forward and two back for Ched.

Problem with Dab G is he's premiere ship quality one minute and Sunday League the next. He's not playing as an out and out winger - just someone to roam around getting a kick - sign him up for a year.
