Me neither, presenting the interview was tongue in cheek, more than a hint of the David Brent's about him, how anybody doesn't see him for what he is, the complete bullshitter, is beyond me.

The debt to the travel company might be for this:

http://united-sports...-Players-v1.pdf

A visit to the Five Lakes complex near Colchester, apparently undertaken by a party led by Sutcliffe in or around April 2015, going by the date on which the document was created. Oddly, the page appears to be hosted by United Sports, the Gordon Hill academy that the club once boasted a tie-up with. Absolute Sports Travel offer football tours to the Five Lakes complex. Perhaps someone with knowledge could confirm that this trip took place?

Yes the trip took place, in July 2015.

Agent news: it appears as though Dennis Bingham has dropped off the list of FA Registered Intermediaries. I hope that is in some small way due to the concerns expressed to the FA by some Chesterfield supporters.

And no - William Bonney isn't on the list, either!
It's nice to be able to Trust again.

You don't have to be named on the FA list anymore to be an intermediary

Sorry, moondog maybe I'm being a bit simple here.
This sis abloke who sold his company to a new owner, owed £250k as part of the business. Has been found to be shall we say, economical with the truth, has faced a winding up order and under questioning at the liquidation meeting has been found wanting. Is that about right?
So, if you brought this guys business, and all this is out there, why would you have him anywhere near the place?
Me? I'd be looking through the books with a fine tooth comb to at least get rid painlesslyme or get rid with him paying what is due and not me being liable
Again, am I missing something here? Because it seems to that he is at best a liability, at worst amseriou debtor who might take my business down?
What am I missing here?

You're missing the fact FBT didn't buy into this business but a later one formed in January 2016.

As for the other point FBT beleived (or so we are told) the new business had sufficient potential they could overcome the problems created by the founder

In the creditors' meeting, DimView represented the former housekeeper/cook at CFC Football Development School Ltd. The claim relates to unpaid expenses incurred on behalf of the company.

We have seen copies of emails sent by the former employee to both CT & LS highlighting the fact that she was using her own personal funds to ensure the scholars could eat due to the lack of provision for petty cash and that could not continue. The employee has also claimed that she stopped submitting receipts for repayment as the company failed to reimburse her.

Below is a summary of the receipts. Considering the vast majority of the purchases were made during her working hours at retailers within walking distance of the CFC Village on Sheffield Road, I find Sutcliffe's refusal to approve the employee's claim as ludicrous.

No; there must have been a reason why he thought it a good idea to become one, though, so I'm counting this as a win!

It's shocking and hard to believe that this sort of thing has been allowed to happen. It makes Scrooge look generous. How did these people get away with it ?

Large sums of money in football attract shysters, hoodwinks and wide boys and wow , have we had our fair share.

Unfortunately in this case the law would simply say she should not have used her own money, no criminal offence occurred.

And yet Sutcliffe claimed that £1k a week taken from parents at trainings sessions went mostly into petty cash.
He must latterly have suffered from Turner's stringent universal rules on petty cash management. Heaven knows where the cash went.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Simples: Straight in his pocket.

Estimate over a very long period : £50k - £70k.

That's the price people pay, especially those who have a heart and a desire to do the right thing, sadly.

In other words, those who have been brought up and educated correctly.

This isn't just applicable to small businesses. Look at people who work for the NHS, when their shift ends they don't just down tools and go home their consciences and commitment to patients and their colleagues means they stay on often for hours that not only aren't rewarded financially they often aren't even acknowledged with a thank you. People's good nature gets abused regularly unfortunately.

Booth & Co have confirmed this afternoon that it is impossible to refute the former employee's claim.

Although it is highly unlikely to result in monies being repaid, it was more a point of principle.
