Sounds like they are doing the decent thing.
Perhaps the start to rebuilding bridges with a lot of folks who fell foul of Sutcliffe.
IMO it should never have come to this in the first place.
My law knowledge is a bit rusty but I can't understand why this figure is now in the public domain and the sums of monies owed to individuals is only now being sorted. Yes it's decent and hopefully now the parents will be reimbursed but we are not talking about a £10 raffle ticket, some parents are owed over £1k which is disgraceful!! It is not something that has just appeared with the departure of LS, this problem has been there for several months and has been brought to the attention of individuals on previous occasions.
There IS an offence here, it's either theft or a deception. Other payments have been made to other suppliers since the payments were made by the parents, therefore one could think that LS had deliberately taken money from parents with no intention of paying back. In other words 'permanently depriving the owner" (in this case the parent). One could argue that it maybe a pecuniary deception if football kits had been bought and given to other kids or used by other players. If it had been reported to the police then a complaint should be lodged with the police authorities if they thought there was no action to be taken.
I am peed off that individuals think they can get away with anything without facing the consequences and this has happened for far too long at our football club. It is NOT acceptable for members of staff to lay bets on football matches and for it to be swept under the carpet nor is it acceptable for anyone to hold a raffle where a prize winner is announced and get's away scot free from our justice system. I cannot accept that 1 person only knew about the raffle, I do not think for 1 minute that KF walked around the club with a book of raffle tickets and a cloth bag to collect his money in. The publicity that surrounded the raffle with regards to the CFC homepage where the winner was announced and his subsequent illness preventing him from travelling and the story that he would be invited as a guest to receive corporate hospitality would not have been the brainchild of KF alone!
The club and individuals had plenty of opportunities to come 'clean' and admit the huge error and blunder of their ways, but how can I believe anything I am told when time after time I find out that I am being fed lies.
I was brought up knowing the difference between right & wrong. Honesty is a key word and should be part of everyone's life. If you are not honest then you are deceitful!!!
A very disgruntled fan!!

Apologies for my rant!
