who could you possibly give it to? Can't feasibly give it to a striker cos we don't score. Can't give it the goalie (as we would normally) as he's been rotten most of the season. We don't have a midfield and the 4th worst defence in the league so struggling to even agree with Evo/Hird.

Toss a coin between Donohue/Evatt/Hird for me. I know they're all defenders but nobody else deserves to even be in the running imo.

We were only commenting on DD at the last home game. He's turned into a nice, steady player.

He is. I liked him as soon as I saw him but he's made himself into a very solid player. Unspectacular but trustworthy.

How do you define 'bang average'?
These go to eleven.

I mean he works hard (that shouldn't even be a factor with footballers but it is) but his control and passing is distinctly average.. looks very awkward dealing with the ball.

So it means 'below average'?

Yes... I don't think he is a league one standard player... it's good that he can play in a variety of positions... small squads need that... but player of the year???? Not for me, even amongst the slim pickings this season.

Fair enough. Would be good if the club acknowledged how poor everyone has been this season and didn't award a POTY.

Could end up being another loss making venture.
God I hate this league.

Give it chedo, its not his fault he can't hit a cows rse with a banjo, its the service/poor quality players he has round him, he works his socks off, runs himself into the ground, and makes runs no one sees ( including most fans) he deserves it for just being at town and not some other massive club befitting his quality and stature.
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+
