Closing down, something we seem to be slow doing. We seem to back peddle constantly by which time they have found a team mate to pass to.

Why oh why won't we just close down early like most other teams.

In fact it deserves a thread on its own in the hope someone from management reads it.

I wonder if the sending off was a bad thing for us - Shez with his injuries on the day just sat everyone behind the ball looking to prosper from corners/free kicks. If they had been more attacking maybe we would have had a little more space to play in. The way they played nullified any fast counter attacking ploy.

Given we have 1 goal in 8 games it's apparent we have as much trouble scoring against 11 men as we do 10. A red card for the opposition is NEVER a bad thing.

It's all about having the skill to take advantage of it. Pass it around, drag them out of position, exploit the gaps and tiredness etc. Sadly our one dimension slow passing game around the back 4 means teams have no incentive to break ranks and create opportunities for us. And it's hardly like they sat in a flat back 10 on the edge of their box, they still had the better of attacking opportunities. We can't make lame excuses like them having a man sent off didn't help us, we're just a poor team.
If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything!

Why don't Peak just raise these points on the manager interview mid week. I know there is a time limit on these things 😊

Poetic - MKDONS 1 OLDHAM O 96- minutes winner against 9 man defence.

Terrible game apparently. We know exactly what they've witnessed - " there seems to be an issue with the right back being sat down in the box " was one comment.

their disgraceful tactics worked on saturday unfortunately but not tonight thankfully

I would just love it if we managed to still finish above them and out of the bottom 4 as they go down :windup

Oldham haven't played in 4th tier for 50 years. Putting aside their antics on Saturday for a moment I wouldn't bet on them going down judging by their commitment against us

Some of that could be the x factor of Sheridan winding them up against his former team though

We shall see through the rest of the season

I don't know about commitment, do you mean they should be committed for acts against football?

As for going down, they can't score so they have every chance
