One goal in 8 doesn't get the ground rocking unfortunately

Is that "one" goal and "one" shot Ernie?

As yet, I can't recall a shot under GC so obviously there hasn't been a goal.

I want to give the guy a chance but I need him to get his team to realise that that thing surrounded by two posts and a bar is where the ball is intended to be put.

There is nothing more boring than possession for possession's sake with no end product at all.

He can throw a couple of dummies that's sound, what's not sound is getting shoved off the ball all the time and being generally ineffective.

Ineffective, yet having two players on him from the off creating space straight away. He's not been anywhere near as potent goal-wise as anyone of us would have hoped but his off the ball movement and work rate is very good.

You are right about him getting 'shoved' off the ball aswell. Time and time again he gets 'shoved'

Perhaps we should follow suit.

Kop end pointing towards the goal, West Stand pointing in an entirely different direction...

At least Faupala was getting the ball in the right areas...in the box. He was unlucky with one attempt & at least he attempted to challenge the keeper when crosses came in

He looked to have the heart of a petit pois on that showing. Hopefully he will improve

I'd disagree with work rate. Early on he was sauntering about attempting to look like he was closing someone down and they brushed his beard with an arm to which he instantly stopped and started touching his face. It was cringeworthy. He then stood in place making sure his face was still attached from the vicious graze whilst their man moved towards our goal. What a grafter.

He gets shoved because he's not strong enough. There's no agenda against him from refs, he just needs to nut up. Additionally, he keeps trying to go outside on the left and usually just crosses it with his weak foot against the opponent or it floats into the keepers hands.

Not sure what you're referring to Ern, though my guess is that long haired ginger guy who made a vid taking the mick out of us poor malnourished vegans?

It was about 6300 I think with about 800-900 from Oldham.

I'm surprised about the announced attendance

The South Stand looked as full as it has all season, the West looked busy enough, the concourses in the North were busy and the queues outside the ticket office at ten to three were some of the longest I've seen.

One area that looked empty was around the directors section, perhaps there is a shortage or maybe an exclusion zone in operation.

Agreed the kop was as full in the west stand corner since probably the blunts match

I suppose we shall only be able to say the crowd is picking up when the east stand is full of home supporters including the last two sections towards the north stand

I wish I could agree, early days yes but I didn't see any of that hunger I kept hearing about

I wonder if the sending off was a bad thing for us - Shez with his injuries on the day just sat everyone behind the ball looking to prosper from corners/free kicks. If they had been more attacking maybe we would have had a little more space to play in. The way they played nullified any fast counter attacking ploy.
God I hate this league.

First sign of improvement will be when they start seling the half section in E3.

It does beg the question as to whether they really were exaggerating some of the crowds earlier in the season

That is certainly the case, wingbacks weren't much use in those circumstances, however they had the best of the game in the first half. We may have been facing another mass exit after 80 minutes if the had kept a full compliment

Wonder how many ST's didn't turn up yesterday and if they included them again in the crowd total given out yesterday?
