I wish I could agree, early days yes but I didn't see any of that hunger I kept hearing about

All the hunger was in the visiting team

I didn't think Oldham were hungry. I didn't think they came for anything other than a point. They showed absolutely no desire to go forward, everyone back from corners, time wasting from the first whistle. Hats off for walking away with the spoils but they showed very little hunger throughout, IMO.

Their support won that game for em, on the back foot for all the 2nd half, yet they sang louder and louder as it went on, when they got forrad they got even louder again, they almost sucked that goal in, fantastic support from them, best that's been in a while,....

Our support was the complete opposite we pushing on for the most part, yet even when we get a corner, we have all on mustering anything more than a, gc barmy army, we really need a 12th man ..... please!!!!

He had little game time today but looked composed on the ball, looked for the easy outlet and kept it moving. Nothing dramatic but basic, necessary stuff. And none of the frantic, erratic stuff we sometimes see from players like Gardner.

Agreed and surely with more playing time he will certainly start having more of an influence on the team

oldham were getting forward all the time and deserved to be ahead during the first half .second half they were sitting back cos they had ten men. The commitment of their players was first class from start to finish.shame about the time wasting antics but that's football these days unfortunately

One goal in 8 doesn't get the ground rocking unfortunately

Agreed, but if ya can't lift the team in a relegation 6 pointer game, regardless of current form its time to pack up, unfortunately the singers are as bad as the owners, .....not interested!

I've not seen Evans play well since he went for the Serpico look.

Everyone in our situation is signing loan players. It is hit and miss

I wonder just how much Caldwell (or any manager for that matter) knows what he getting. It strikes me as pot luck relying on other peoples opinion most of the time unless yo are Swindon who probably have had the pick of the top academy players again.

 The running of the club has dropped it into the desperation stakes.Bringing in 5 new faces at this stage of the season is a big gamble.A gamble that they are the right players and a gamble that they can blend into a winning team.Yes they might succeed in time, but that clock is ticking.
Many a good tune

This is exactly the problem. 'The singers'.!? Itss everybodys responsibility to get behind the team not just the lads at back of the kop

Considering 1 goal 8 I thought the atmosphere was quite good. I have seen it a lot worse.

One of the few positives about today was that we didn't look any worse.

Evans movement is very good. He threw a dummy in the first half to let Jones down the line which took about four players out of the game.
There's no doubt his scoring record is poor but his movement up top to create space for others is second to none. Problem is most folk don't see that part of his game.

He can throw a couple of dummies that's sound, what's not sound is getting shoved off the ball all the time and being generally ineffective.

Its always been the kop that kicks things off, they raise the level enough then the rest will join in, as did happen a couple of times 1st half, 2nd half they stood scratching their arsez, waiting for us to concede, rather than try and lift the team and get the place rocking giving all hope, don't give me the why don't you start crap either I'm 49 I've done my pist on the kop and singing my head off as much if not more than most, i know take my lad and relax and leave it to the next generation to get get things going and then join in from the east stand when they do..... step it up boys, your too quiet
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+
