At the risk of raising yet another item which questions our professionalism, how can this be right?

I'm no expert but if I was in charge of fitness I'd look for which ever key indicators from our computerised back packs informed me whether players are fit or not. Having seen Simmons completely whacked for the second half last Satday, it seems Ashley and the new manager are correct.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Getting a teams fitness right across a long season is a Science as I'm sure CPS will attest... players who miss a full pre season often struggle down the line... by the same token you need to ensure your team maintains its levels across the whole season and still has enough in the tank during heavy fixture congestion... there's no excuse these days with the data available which should be used alongside a coaches own judgement from watching players train and in matches.. but certainly the number of late goals conceded as a very primitive gauge would suggest we aren't at the level required. The best teams are usually the fittest.... hence they have annoying habits like very often scoring late winners that people put down to luck...

"We keep hearing they're too good for relegation"- who says? At the moment, this squad is not too good to go down and few (if any) have said it is. Only a very surprising week or so of transfer activity would convince me otherwise.
These go to eleven.

 The only data you need is visual. Many fans have said the fitness/stamina levels aren't up to what we have had in the past.

If you want to do the thing properly you need the extra data, but agree visual is the best first step.

If the team aren't fit then Mal Practice needs to be sacked. Not paid off with a handsome fee. Sacked. If his job is getting players fit and he's failed to do this then he's not up to the job and needs to be shown the door.

Not necessarily. I remember when Sheridan was manager I think it was mentioned somewhere that Shinner didn't have the access to the players he wanted. It could be that DW was the same, not allowing MP to do what he thought was reqd.

Apparently Mal Purchase is working part-time due to personal issues, or so AC said on Facebook. AC also said Shinner is not going to return.

Pretty much what I was gonna say. That's what makes me laugh with all the 'get shinner back' brigade. We would probably have had a fitter team if we trained a bit more under DW (and played keep ball during matches)
Here we go again!

From Shane Nicholson on Twitter about a week ago (who I expect knows what he's talking about)

"Mal is a very good fitness coach, he shouldn't take blame for performances. Players should take a look at themselves..👍🏼"
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.
