Fees received are disclosed in the accounts, so its only a mystery until they are published.

Plus, as regards bids or no bids, there have been a number of directors until recently, all of whom drink, eat and socialise locally. I am sure we can assume not every single one can resist prattling at times.

We'll get a fee regardless of not selling him anyway....he is under 25..we offer contract, rejects it & signs for someone else.
A tribunal will take into account USA international, monies offered for him already...so him staying is win, win potentially for us anyway!!

If it was a bull 5h1t figure with Brentford being named along with said quote, wouldn't have Brentford come out and said "that's utter bull 5h1t" ?

I know what you are saying regarding undisclosed figures for other sales- seems strange to say a particular club is offering a said figure.

But if a club was strongly mentioned in a 'bogus' offer, wouldn't
That club come out and say they had no contact with that player/
club/deal? Wouldn't it put off real potential targets if not clarified?

What baffles me is why we kept hold of him instead of selling to Brentford for the reported 800k. Absolutly baffling

I think thats abit harsh on the board. If they sold him theyd have been absolutely lambasted. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but at the start of the season he was looking like the only potential bright light and keeping hold of him was crucial to win back the fans abit.

I don't think they would have kopped that much IMO. We knew what position the club was in as selling players so what one more out the door? (especially when we knew his limitations on the pitch).
Everyone and his dog knew the reported 800k Bretford offered was overpriced, so why on earth they didn't throw him in DA' s Bentley and drive him down there and then is beyond me.

So am I, the offers made for GBoly were described as derisory. So I'd say circa 200K
