There could be a crumb of truth in your vain attempt at sarcasm.
It wasn't unknown for Appointment Secretaries (the person or body who allocate officials to games) when a club who felt they had been hard done too and then made "noises" about certain injustices either through comments or marking system, would "cock a snook" at said club, or maybe test the officials mental aptitude by re-appointing to one of the clubs fixtures or maybe the next occasion the same fixture occurs.

From experience these Appointment Secretaries could be evil barstewards at times.
