Just listened to his interview pre-fleetwood on peak. now i know we are bottom of the league and it's dire but the guy is if nothing else honest and not trying to use excuses as many would, 10 first team players unavailable let's remember. When asked about the off-field stuff again he didn't try and use any excuses but seems to remain positive, i know some will say "what do you expect him to say" but fair play to him in my book. He did comment that despite resigning as Chair he felt Dave Allen would do right by the club as he always has done, hope he's right on this one but sad to say i'm not as optimistic as danny on this one.

I thought it was a bit disappointing that nobody in the media asked him about the Humphreys substitution. It was a major talking point.

Think the guy doing the interviewing for Peak/Player was more interested in squeezing out comment on the off field events. One question about that should've sufficed

One thing DW has is a lot of patience

Danny Wilson describes every opposition team as being good when in reality there are probably four decent teams in the league with all the rest quite ordinary.

Hopefully he stays in good spirits if his wages don't get paid.

We'll have a whip round for him if it comes to that.

Danny has been sold a lemon. One of the primary reasons imo that Danny was signed up was that the board hoped we'd give him more time than others, and perhaps even tolerate a prolonged spell of poor form, due to a purposeful lack of investment in the squad. I feel sorry for Danny, I just hope he can galvanise a young team together sooner rather than later, or at least soften the fall and prevent us going through the football league trap door.

I've said since last season that DW has been asked to do an impossible job with inadequate backing, but I think the uncritical admiration needs to be reined in a bit. I wasn't around when he played for us, so I don't have that natural affinity to the bloke displayed by many fans. Like others, I'm not 100% impressed with his selections, tactics, and substitutions sometimes, and I think his shortcomings have to be recognised. More importantly, though, I heard a brief interview with him on Talk Sport a couple of days ago, and I was not impressed to hear him insinuate that the main factor in Allen's resignation was criticism from fans, completely ignoring the endless stream of blunders (to put it politely) from DA's employees that have caused the problems. Despite that, he has to be given credit for keeping us up last season, and he will deserve recognition as a miracle worker if he can achieve the same result this season.

Fair points Soph. It would appear the Club are not going to publicly acknowledge the blunders made and, as an assumption, the party line is for the Club's employees to say nothing as well.

I wish he would walk away with Morgan, I couldnt believe his selection of Mitchell ar wingvack withBolly in frontof him. He was like a littleboy lost in the 1st half. Mcguire should have started.

Good old Danny.

At least he's helped ensure, after a week of the unknown, a feeling of the familiar today.

Didn't even come over to acknowledge the 400 or so away fans yesterday. Losing all respect for the man in the past few months. He has to go, yet at the same time he's probably the least of our worries. Bizarre really

I agree mate..... clueless no tactical knowledge and awful negative tactics. I wouldn't have him in charge of a pub side.
