I think it's fair to say that I'm not CTs biggest fan, but is he really solely responsible for this mess, and that's being kind, that we now find ourselves in?

No. He isn't. You're absolutely right. It should never have got to this stage and there's only one man who ultimately has allowed it to happen.

After the disastrous accounts following our promotion and paint pot final season then surely anyone and everyone involved with the running of the club would have gone through things with a fine tooth comb and put steps in place/ took action, other than a fire sale, that prevented the same thing happening for the next two sets of accounts, wouldn't they? Maybe they did, I don't know, but it didn't work if it happened.
Maybe CT isn't the best CEO, but solely responsible for all this, nah..

Allen was banging on about debt before Turner came. Unless it's categorically proven, who knows!!??

I don't think he's even slightly responsible for this mess.

He's just a well paid puppet doing his masters bidding.

Let's make no mistake there's only one person pulling the strings and he holds all the cards.

I'm not sure what the end game is,however what I do know is there will be only one person coming out of this as a winner and that's the former chairman and major shareholder.

I suspect that within the next two or three weeks we will see numerous new directors elected to the board all with strong business connections to yours truly.

Meanwhile DA will retain his shareholding and continue to take the interest on his loans.

I honestly believe there has never been any intention to sell the club.

This plan has been orchestrated over a long period of time with the removal of the old guard (DJ,CB,PT & AG) being an integral part of it.

This of course is my personal opinion and based on no actual facts or information from other sources.

The only credible story for me is that this is EXACTLY what Dave Allen has planned for the best part of two years.

It's the only plausible explanation.

This is all beginning to play out like a pathetic piece of bullying by DA.
1) Buys up all the balls and bats
2) Takes balls and bats home
3) Tells other children that they won't have a bat or a ball again unless the other bigger boys ride off on their Choppers
4) Brings bats and balls back but tells other children that he'll take them away again unless they keep quiet
5) Other children buy sweets for him and his two pals in gratitude
6) Everything carries on as before

I don't think so my friend.

There's a good number of us have spent many months pouring over what's happening and sadly our worst fears have all come home to roost.

A nice analogy and sadly 100% true.

And some at least were taken in, recognise this exchange........

"Judging by the looks on their faces when DA announced his resignation they hadn't got a clue."
"You think AC was surprised"
'Yes"

Not suggesting your conversations with the "powers that be" weren't in goof failth and anyone can be hoodwinked but don't start making out you were the one of the first to see it coming. People had seen this coming months and months.

Good post. But Turner has to go rite now or else town fans will not get behind any rescue plan. In our one of our darkest hours I can't believe we are still talking about this clown. I can't take anything seriously till he goes. Other town fans might but I can't.

If there is a rescue deal and if he's part of it, we'll have to accept it bending over a barrel

I don't think we have a choice. This isn't so much a rescue as DA picking us up out of the water, having rammed us amidships and then getting us to sign a gagging order before we come aboard, where we'll be met by Cap'n Turner, the old sea dog who isn't a great sailor but can turn a good mark-up on the ship's cargo.
