Them flip flops make his ankles look a bit chunky.

The only attire to make Evans look even more ridiculous would be a yellow football shirt with a moose on the breast.

You really are insane.

Radford has stated a few times it's his desire to get Mansfield Town into The Championship. Steve Evans mentioned that our Chairman wants this in his press conference and said it was being part of this exciting project that persuaded him to join us. Also theres plenty of funds in the kitty for players in January cos unlike CFC we're OK finanially ..So get ya head around it Westie lad - we're going up Westie- if not this year then next.

Who knows we might be able to help you out when it comes to the inevitable fire sale of your better players.

You might have the funds but good luck getting anyone worth their salt to ply their trade at Field Mill in front of 2,000.
You won't go up this season, fact. You won't go up next season. Evans will upset anyone and everyone and you'll still be the same, sorry excuse for a local 'rival' that we meet every decade or so when you are in a purple patch and we are in the doldrums. Please get that condemned stand open just in case we meet next season. We'll definitely need it Wooly lad !!

I understand that your kidding yourself on to try and make you feel better youth but Burton Albion made it to The Championship and they dont get big crowds. We've got a fantastic Chairman and now a top manager.

We'll definitely be in League 1, if not this year then next, and on that lads you can bet the farm.

Top manager? He'll not be at Field Mill this time next year and you'll still be a lower table L2 side at best. Fact.

Well you'll 'definitely' not be in league 1 either but you still said it.

Jabba a top manager? Don't make me laugh, he's a perfect match for Mansfield. Both vile and insipid.

With your impending relegation, I'm interested as to how many fans you think will be shaved off of your current average?

The new stadium attracted thousands that weren't there in the Saltergate days, and it coincided with one of, if not the best, entertaining sides you've had in recent history, which convinced those new fans to stay on.
Even when you had a mini-disaster under Sheridan's management, it didn't affect attendances much after relegation because there was a promise of investment to bounce back, so fan optimism was high that it would be a successful League 2 campaign.

This time around you'll be relegated and broke, unless a buyer can be found which looks highly unlikely. Do you think a lot of the new breed of supporter who came along with the new stadium are now considered die hards? Or do you think they will disappear from whence they came without any prospect of success on the horizon?

I live in town so remember the huge difference between Saltergate attendances and the new ground. It was also much rarer during the Saltergate era to see kids walking around town in Chesterfield shirts, but there are loads now. So you've certainly done a good job in terms of attracting a new generation of supporters with the combination of the new ground and (at the time) entertaining and successful football.

Going down last time under Sheridan didn't do us any harm.

But that was different wasn't it? Like I stated, you went down but did so with every confidence that you'd have the backing to win the league or at the very least get promoted at the first attempt.

If your current troubles pan out how everyone seems to be expecting, you'll be going into League 2 this time around whilst still fighting fires, with a small budget, and possibly having to pay DA rent if he goes down a Haslam-esque route (which I don't think he'd do personally)

I'd didn't do us any good. Crowds were down and people were annoyed that we'd make a pig's ear of an opportunity to consolidate.

No point guessing what could happen next season if we go down. We don't know who will own the club, who will be playing for us and how we will do on the pitch.

For all its authentic appeal, Saltergate was never going to appeal to young families the way that a modern stadium does. Like yourselves, we’ve suffered historically from a lack of ambition and success and this has translated in many of the town’s youngsters electing to support local rivals or PL teams. Despite the current financial struggles, the club will still attract more supporters than it did in the latter Saltergate years.

As a dad of 2 young girls, I would happily take them to a game at the Proact, but there is no chance I would have taken them to a game at Saltergate.

Fair comment Westie. I dont think any Mansfield fans want you to go out of business, but at the same time we remember the great delight a lot of you took on here from us being taken to the cleaners by Haslam and being relegated out of the league.

You're not quite there just yet but I think some of you are beginning to understand what that feels like now the Adidas F50 is on the other foot.

Maybe before long you'll all realise that our two clubs and towns *are* similar in size... but what it all comes down to at the end of the day is who's running them, how deep their pockets are, and their true intentions. And it really is as simple as that.

The coup has happened. DA has got his own way though if he thinks Tairn supporters think he's clever then he has a lot to learn about us. There is no chance of us going out of business. The debt will be reduced either because the ex directors have 'donated' their investment to CFC or via administration which can easily be managed by Allen, or both. I look forward to reading that CT has vetted any new Directors and that they are fit and proper and that AC has managed to retain his debentures.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on
