The way I see it is there's no point in reporting anything until there is something to report.
There would be no benefit in someone who attended these closed-door meetings to come here and say "Well, we've not reached the solution yet but here are some of our ideas...."

All you'd get would be dozens of opinions from people who don't know enough about the intimate finances of the club to be able to formulate those opinions properly.

Yes we would get dozens of opinions from fans, but isn't that happening anyway? Surely it's better to form opinions based on facts rather than rumour?

I sometimes wonder if some people on this message board engage their brain before making postings.

Do they understand that if, for instance, discussions are going on with outsiders that individuals might be required to keep matters confidential and most likely sign a confidentiality agreement or otherwise jeopardise any deal in the offing?

Similarly, do they expect every phone call, conversation, email, expression of interest etc to be broadcast?

Or, do they want the boardroom to say how bad things are and, as such, make things immediately even worse in their relationship with creditors, sponsors, and people that might be tempted to come forward with help?

Until there is anything to report nothing should be said.

I don't think anyone is suggesting that every single detail be broadcast, more along the lines of an update. That update may not really say a great deal but I think it's the right thing to do.

Any item which is under confidentiality should obviously be kept out of any statement.

I think they could issue summat about the degree of optimism or how constructive talks are wouldn't go amiss.

Meanwhile....Will the team be overnighting at Fleetwood?
CT did not watch the youth team on Tuesday, which is highly unusual for a home match. Will he be present tomorrow?
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

It's a bit like Brexit isn't it! The Government don't want to give a 'running commentary' but everyone else would just like a broad outline of what's the basic plan of action. Much like we would all like to know what the basic plan is to get us out of the runny stuff here!
"Do you think I'm here for your amusement" & good riddance to bad rubbish

What do you realistically expect?
Derbyshire is Derbyshire
Yorkshire is Yorkshire

Never the twain shall meet.
