I am appealing to those at the club........we are in this mess together. Some have financial interests and some are supporters, but we all want the same outcome and that is for CFC to survive with as little damage as is possible.

The situation is dire but we have to work together, and that's not being done as well as it could be. We have fans planning a meet up (which is excellent and proactive) and we have directors meeting behind closed doors.......but we have no clear communication coming out of the club. We as the fans need to know about any progress the board are or are not making. Without this there's a very real danger that divisions could arise.

As fans we are left playing guessing games and from this the rumour mill may well kick in, and that would not help.

So please someone at the club can you appoint a spokesperson with immediate effect? This I believe is the best way forward, I hope you do too......for the sake of the club.

Shouldn't the fan's meetings be held at the club with the directors, regardless of what independent activities arise??

No, because on their watch that's the mess they've already got us into! Questions should have been asked before now!

Appreciate that but whether we like it or not , they are the directors, surely?

I think some of the reporting is interesting and it makes you wonder who is driving it.

On one side you've got talk about £50K being due to HMRC, suggestions that a £200K injection is required to ensure that all short term liabilities are settled, the possibility of administration, what it's going to take to purchase the club from DA, etc, and by contrast on the other side, you've got silence.

Right at this moment, I believe some of the reporting just places further pressure on those who are doing their best to rescue the club from this situation.

Yes I agree that things should have been looked into and perhaps changes made..........but we are at this point now.

It's the board who need to respond by appointing someone to communicate what's going on behind closed doors.

I think you're right, we need to deal in facts to have any chance......

Appointing a spokesperson would kill off Chinese whispers and false reporting.

In my opinion silence means nothing is sorted or close to being sorted.
If there were no negative consequences of DA,s actions then a prompt statement would have been made.

Personally, I think the Directors would get more help and support from fans if they were blatantly honest no matter how bad the situation

DA is possibly plotting something against the rest of the Directors

This is a time we need a strong and effective CEO sorting the mess not going to watch a player
Have passport will travel

Nick Johnson is a decent bloke, however he can only communicate what the club tells him to.

Which at the moment is probably nothing.

There's plenty going off behind closed doors at the moment but we are going to hear anything until it's sorted.

I decided to delete this in retrospect

As has been well documented the board have been meeting in order to try and resolve things. I can confirm that Ashley Carson will be reporting any relevant news from those meetings by the end of today, or tomorrow.

It should be the acting Chairman doing the feedback. Nobody else.

As long as we get some feedback from within the boardroom, that's the most important thing. Things have been too quiet until now.

So, who is in charge? Is it CT? Or AC?
If it's AC, can he give CT the flick?

Or is DA still pulling the strings as he is still the owner?

Or has DA just washed his hands of the club, and not bothered if it crashes and burns? He still owns the ground and can recoup money through renting to a football club, and the banqueting ect.

I suppose if he's prepared to take a cut price deal to get us off his hands, I see it as a slight glimmer of hope in finding a consortium/New owner

I'm not sure exactly what communication you're expecting from the club
Monday evening
http://www.chesterfi...on-3416973.aspx
Tuesday
http://www.chesterfi...ns-3417491.aspx
http://www.chesterfi...ng-3418179.aspx
Thursday
http://www.chesterfi...ue-3420800.aspx

Until they've worked out what they're doing and how they're doing it, the board aren't going to say a great deal.

I'd imagine things are far from sorted, as it stands, but you'd hope we have a couple of options being persued, with a resolution hopefully in the next couple of days.

The longer this drags on, people will begin to fear the worst!

Zorro issued some advice which I'm trying to follow, apart from neutral responses.
It seems a bit unlikely, but if we can influence negotiations by keeping shtum, then we should if only for a couple of days.

The way I see it is there's no point in reporting anything until there is something to report.
There would be no benefit in someone who attended these closed-door meetings to come here and say "Well, we've not reached the solution yet but here are some of our ideas...."

All you'd get would be dozens of opinions from people who don't know enough about the intimate finances of the club to be able to formulate those opinions properly.
It's not the despair. I can take the despair. It's the hope I can't stand.
