Ordinarily I just sit at home in my pants eating peanut butter from the jar and copy and pasting from social media, but this one I got from actually going to the Proact last night and speaking to real life humans.

So has nobody expressed their continued astonishment that the CEO is still in situ despite seemingly presiding over spiralling debts and costs?

not saying it's not true and it is out of order but "allegedly" and "were said to" is hardly Pulitzer prize winning stuff. Why don't you try and get an interview with DA and get him to explain his actions?

Get real, the best local journo we've ever had is not at fault, Allen made it very clear he won't be making any further statement

For the avoidance of doubt, the official line from the club is that Mr Allen is not doing interviews.

Well a Facebook post of mine has ended up as a quote in a story and probably not in the way it read alongside other posts I was responding to.

I was told that an existing director was trying to get one together weeks ago.

This just speeds it up.

Good luck to them. Consortiums are very nice - sounding and have always had mixed results. I still reckon the best of Chesterfield's fanbase can come forward. Financially, it's going to need a fair "whack" to sort the long -term and day to day problems out. I'm sure the wider fanbase will chip in too. £100 from me (x 5000) for starters? Not forgetting, we need Dave Allen back.

Looking at the statement at the end of it the meeting must have lasted no more than 5 minutes :windup

Column: Allen neatly sidestepped a fractious AGM but big questions remain over club's running

The 'presser' should be interesting today. Does Danny just play it as if everything's normal?
