When I raised the issue of existing sponsors feeling unwanted, peed off and total alienated from the club currently, it seemed to strike a chord and hopefully will trigger change.

As I said last night, The 2 JJ's are what's keeping a lot of current sponsors, sponsors that have been with the club many many years, still putting their money in.

How long had the Club name existed?

25 years+? Poor business plan to re-brand for me. I wouldn't use them now that's for sure and I know of other regular users who have already switched to other local firms.

There's a picture of the original owner on facebook outside the Aquarius with the first 3 cars (maybe Keith will post) that might be dated. I picked up the original owners granddaughter when I was at A-Line - speaks volumes that, she told me many stories about the early days of club.

Right, First off I have NEVER asked FOR nor NEEDED personal protection, When asked Wednesday what the goons were for I sarcastically replied "For Me" the reason I did that was because when they first appeared on the scene it was stated on this forum that they were for me after a small confrontation I had with F2 and MXXX whatever, or shall I say Mike Pearson and Chris Snell.

Now if any of you would like to test if I need protection You know where to find me and how to find me.

As far as I am aware, Now just like yourselves I can only assume, There was a situation just a couple of weeks before that fans were shouting abuse at the board maybe at one person I don't know, Then when I had my small confrontation with Mike and Chris it set it off, so I think they were employed by DA

I started Les's Taxi's in 1975 Just afterwards (1976 I think) the Aquarius nightclub opened and a chap called Graham Burton joined forces with John Williamson (Aquarius) and started Club Taxi's who used to run from the front of the Aquarius, around 1983-4 Graham asked me if I wanted to buy him out which I did, at that time I was completing around 5000 jobs a week with 20 cars, Both under Les's and Club Taxi's Strangely enough I rebranded to Club Taxi's and continued growing.
When CITY took over we had 170 Taxi's / Private Hire cars in Chesterfield, Completing 19,000 + jobs per week, There is now STILL 170 Taxi's / Private Hire cars completing some 23,000 jobs per week.

At last we are getting someone who is speaking the truth, I thought a hell of a lot of good points were brought up Wednesday and points that needed an answer.
But the part that has pee'd me off is with all the respect that Nick Johnson has by all parties, The one sided version of events has been posted even though it was agreed that he would transcribe the recorded meeting and put the transcript to all groups / parties concerned for agreement before it was made part of a discussion.
I think everybody was in agreement that this type of forum is badly needed at CFC, I think it's future may be in jeopardy by this pre posting.
A lot of the version is fair but it is very obviously biased
