So how do we get to the point that we've ended up with one man owning such a majority when I (just like many others) chucked money into a club that was dead on its feet to keep it going? What happened to give Dave Allen the keys to the ground and for me not to see any return on my money?

In all honesty, I'm not bothered about any money back but I just can't understand how Dave Allen can be the owner when the supporters owned the club.

There was the very small matter of the supporters being several million quid short when it came to paying for the new ground.

You seem to be lacking a basic knowledge of history which is surprising as you seem to have been around for ages

CFFS relinquished control to the likes of Hubbard because we couldn't fund/run the club at Saltergate

Hubbard got DA involved so he could finance the stadium. After becoming the majority shareholder, DA then blackmailed CFSS into reliquishing its minority shareholding so he could have > 80% of the club and do away with any pesky opposition. If my memory is clear, over 75% of CFSS's 1000 or so members voted for the sale to DA, I did not

And here we are

And another thing that irritates me is all the people who say, where would we be if we had stayed at Saltergate.

My guess, struggling, a perennial yo-yo team between 3rd and 4th tier football but with less debt

I don't think we would have seen much of league 1

We'll never know about that one but one thing for sure is we'd never has seen this £8M plus debt with year upon year of > £1M losses

In a similar position to Hereford Utd I'd wager.

Also when Allen was involved at Wednesday he allowed the Owls supporters group to own some shares which he later found out was an hindrance to him when he was trying to alter how the club was run

Hence one of the first things he did here was to make sure CFSS did not have the power to cause him a similar problems

Hold the memories dear. The way we're going, we'll not be seeing league 2 for long.

Personally, I prefer to use the most logical view: Allen employs Turner. Allen has witnessed what Turner has done, yet still employs him; tells its own story.

Can you explain your logic. Turnipe is as far as you can go with paid(inc 5% skim) employees. As CEO he runs the club day to day. Apparently quite badly looking at the club accounts over the last 5 years.
