If we're so careful not to pay the players too much, why the **** are we haemorrhaging money year on year!

We cant have it all ways and blame players wages/bonuses on the one hand, then pretend we are frugal with them on the other.

And despite what others say, if the figures from Ashley are true, I would think that was a pretty typical breakdown of playing wages for L1 club.

At face falue this years accounts look similar to the previous year, e.g. turnover, the underlying loss and total wage bill etc.

Last year the football side (staff costs) was stated as costing just over £3M including coaches and bonuses. There was no real reason to distrust that figure because it highlighted the fact that the non football side's wages were high. Carson stated player budget remained roughly the same from the previous year and again I have no real doubt about that because it highlights the fact that circa £1.5M is going elsewhere on wages.

I'm told the current wage bill is £2.3 Million + Appearance Money (Approx £150,000) which is below half way in the wages league table

£1.8 includes projection to the end of the season assuming no additional players coming in or going out. Sorry if my number caused confusion.

This is absurd. Ashley said the spend for last season was on budget at £1.8m. This season it is £2.3m even though we've sold all our best players?

Here's a question!

As per Walsall's accounts, assuming all of the £113,000 directors' remuneration recorded in their accounts was paid to their CEO who is also an executive director, how does this compare with the total annual remuneration of our CEO?

For the record, Stefan Gamble had 5 years at BDO as an accountant / auditor and he benefits from 14 years experience in football finance and administration.

Mark we do not pay any player more than £3,000 a week. This is a ceiling.

We have:

£2,000 Or Over £2,000 10 Players
Over £1,000 to £2,000 7 Players
Under £1,000 9 Players

£2.3 Million + Appearance Money (Approx £150,000) per annum

We are not even half way up the wages league with this either!

That's as of the day before yesterday.

Maybe it would be worth asking if we were paying any players over 3k last season, and if we we were; who were they.

Also interesting that the 'big three' claim that player wages are the problem, when as you state, that seemingly isn't the case.

Rather than discuss who might or might not be earning what, or stuff Carson says that may or may not be true, let's discuss what's in front of us.

What really leaps out at me is the huge increase in the 'debtors' column.

So who owes the Club over a million quid?

Perhaps that'll be clarified in the additional notes I understand AC pledged to circulate regarding the development school.

Too much of a conflict of interest

Care to explain what the conflict of interest would be ?

Form would suggest the question will go unanswered

Unpaid transfer fees? Hire of facility unpaid, eg the FA for the England youth games? Unpaid sponsorship? Not sure what else we "sell"?

Moderating posts by genuine fans on here whilst doing AC's dirty work for him?

Hold on.

Moondog has spent a lot of time over the past 10 months researching a number of issues concerning CFC.

You will not find a more decent and genuine individual.

I second this....

Moondog is a nice, honest Gentleman, and would be honest who ever he was talking to etc.

Doing dirty work? No chance. He wants the best for CFC, I have no doubt about that. IF only the club was being run by someone like Mark, we'd be in a much better place.

I am one of many on here who would never questions Mark's integrity.

As for doing Ashley's dirty work ? That unjust and pathetic slur doesn't even deserve a reply.

Just remember who it was that went far more than the extra in search of the truth over Rafflegate.

He'd probably be better off moderating post like yours to the waste bin.

Got to interject (ooh missus) here CPS. My view of Mark is that he is completely objective, I don't think he is anybody's crony. I would trust him implicitly.

We are constantly bombarded with social media images of "superfan" yet I would argue that he has much more of a vested interest in towing the club line.

Maybe I do him a disservice- if so apologies (but was a little peturbed to receive DM's from AC around the time we signed Evans- may not have been Moondog I guess but don't know of many other mods who got involved at the time)

Mark is a man of huge integrity and has done more than most to expose issues on Sheff Road.

I welcome him being an intermediary for Ashley Carson; it's then up to the 'Bob's Board' membership to interpret those statements as they choose.
