So, his shares are not benefits. That means he's paid for them. Would the transaction be listed somewhere in the public domain? Can other shareholders have a similar deal? Why was he given preference over me for their purchase?

Would the transaction be listed somewhere in the public domain? No
Can other shareholders have a similar deal? Not necessarily- the articles say the directors can decline a transfer of shares without giving any reason
Why was he given preference over me for their purchase? Cos he doesn't like you? ;)

I thank Ashley for taking part in the dialogue. I does seem to me though that as an officer and director of CFC he has received a benefit. We'll have to beg to differ. He's the expert.

You are actually following an argument HMRC (mind what are the shares worth!) could use.

I'm sure the Accounts have HMRC as a sundry creditor. I hope somebody remembers to pay them this time.

I am pretty sure that the rent will be for a property at Belmont Hollymoorside that PC used a bit and then DS was put in. They also had a top of the range TV Sky etc put in. But DS didn't stop in it because he didn't want to cook his own food so he was moved into a hotel

You wouldn't believe how much coverage that apartment has had this year.

Assuming that's true, where's the surprise? It's obvious we've been paying over the odds for years to attempt to sign players who might get us into the Championship. It might even have worked in a parallel universe. Unfortunately no player comes with a guarantee, and Saunders' gambles went badly astray.
Surprisingly, IF it's true, it suggests DA was still supporting a high-wage attempt to get up a league into the 2015/2016 season, and was prepared to use transfer income to finance it, rather than using it to pay himself some of the debt we owe, which makes him not quite the ogre some would have us believe. The policy was seen to have PROBABLY failed about the end of November 2015, at which point drastic action had to be taken, and was.
End result is that crowds won't support a Championship place, and player sales have failed miserably to do the job, so all that's left is retrenchment - or, in English, dig in and get the wage bill down, and that means Danny has to get much more out of much less. Who'd be a football manger, or Chairman for that matter?

The old adage, "If it's true then..." comes to mind. Sure, we need to cut Allen some slack at times. It was a gamble that hasn't worked. I still blame the non-attending supporters, whatever the flak etc.. I'll side with Allen on that. Blimey, we couldn't even fill the stadium for its first ever match against Barnet. The writing was on the wall - regardless of who was on holiday - it should have been crammed. Memories of 1980-2 come to mind. If it means battening down the hatches for a few years, so be it. I don't see the point of boycotting games. I'm more than happy to sit on the fence on this one. Maybe the agm could clarify this and add transparency?

Hold tight Gok, it's bound to be our turn soon by the look of it.

I'd imagine mine will be along the lines of
"Calvin can you let everyone know Evatt's (sorry Ian's)! Body fat is coming down nicely and all ticketyboo fitness wise"

Ched obviously didn't choose the wrong specialist when he picked his own from the phone book as our players apparently do.

Don't remember that was ever suggested, I remember 4 weeks being quoted sometime before his trial and Wilson saying, "one or two weeks, sooner I hope" straight afterwards.

In the end he was out for over 4 weeks in total

And he looked to be hobbling on his feet by the end of the match on Saturday- but certain people wouldn't know that as they don't attend.

It could be the training ground, the manager's accommodation, players' accommodation, etc. However, whatever it is, it wasn't being charged to the rent nominal code in the accounts for y/e 30/06/12 & 30/06/13.

Edit - having said it could be the training ground, there is a separate cost for 'training facilities' at £29,172.

I know one or two folk associated with the official youth set-up.

Apparently they used the training facilities hired by the development school when their own were waterlogged, though it's not clear how often.

Could that explain it?

Why is it 'obvious we've been paying over the odds for years'? Haven't you repeatedly insulted so-called 'know nothing' forumites for making similar claims? And even if true, isn't that a stunning indictment of the CEO you've humiliated yourself to defend?

Why November 2015? The accounts showing the million-plus loss appeared months earlier, as did the abrupt ending of the Higdon pursuit, as did Cook's downbeat interview, no players were signed following it's revelation and crowds were averaging more or less the seven thousand Allen himself had targeted. So exactly what happened in November - other than our progressing in the Cup - and doesn't such an assertion totally contradict you saying 'DA was still supporting a high-wage attempt to get up a league into the 2015/2016 season'?

Why won't 'crowds support a Championship place'? How do you know when we've not been there for over sixty years? Isn't it the height of stupidity to base such an assumption on what we were getting whilst mid-table in L1?

Seems to me your just repeating yourself rather than accept you might, just perhaps, be wrong.

As you were regarding the debt, amongst many other things.

And we're still waiting for that apology to those who've run rings around you...

CT's report to shareholders will surely include a detailed statement on how he will save £2m this season in case Ched's value gets decimated for any reason. Those savings by their nature will be permanent so it's going to be a doddle, a bed of roses, from this November.

Just put your coffee down, sit down and think long and hard about this:-

Chesterfield Football Club paid Sylvan Ebanks-Blake over a Quarter of a million pounds each year.

A quarter of a million pounds

Each year

On Ebanks-Blake

Well done
(We have been)

Where do you get this from ? don't avoid the question as stating this as though its fact is not on.

There are the figures provided to me

"We do not pay any player more than £3,000 a week. This is a ceiling.

We have:

£2,000 Or Over £2,000 10 Players
Over £1,000 to £2,000 7 Players
Under £1,000 9 Players"
