'Meeting clients in London'? Do they think we just crawled from under a stone? As I mentioned earlier, this should have been the first thing in DA's diary. Moondog, your friend Ashley and the dynamic duo are an absolute joke and think each and every one of us is beneath them.

Hey i'm only passing on what I've been told, someone else told me DA was still at the Proact at 6.45pm last night when the "vintage" buses left for the Chatsworth event, this not to say he didn't have a commitment in London as he operates in a late night industry. One would have expected the chairman to be there but personally I don't think it's a big deal he wasn't.

Easier to start at the other end and then talk about agents.

Any idea who the club's senior representative was then? Presumably DJ

The notion of CT actually paying for tickets for him and his missus out of his own pocket strikes me as unlikely. Perhaps he was guest speaker.

Easier to start at the other end and then talk about agents. I think the whole business is run on commissions and thats the proble. Instead of having proven proffessionals in key positions paid a set salary we chose anyone and offer daft commissions thinking that is a good base to have a well planned business plan with long term stability and a gettable goal.

You don't think it's a big deal that the chairman wasn't there on what could possibly be the only event to properly acknowledge the 150th anniversary? The night where sponsors and big spenders - so vital to a club like ours - should have been made to feel like they matter and that their support is valued and where a visible presence from the clubs senior management would have said 'this is something important and something we want to share with you'.
But then guess your friend Ashley told you it wasn't important so I must be wrong.

A very poor excuse and sums the Sheffield 3 up and their regard for our club.

The Chatsworth gig should have been at the top of their agenda, given that it was organised months ago.

Are you lot for real - you spend all week moaning and groaning about DA and cfc and then you are outraged that he's not going to a cfc function.

He's profitable businesses to run people and we are the least of his interests.

Correct and I'm perfectly able to form my own opinion, which extends to thinking you're not very good at guessing

According to Graham Smyth's (DT Journalist) tweet earlier today, the club are due to release a statement tonight which will summarise the financial results for the year end 30/06/16.

During the trading period, we have:

1) Sold Darikwa to Burnley.

2) Sold Clucas to Hull.

3) Sold Morsy to Wigan.

4) Sold Armand to Orient.

5) Averaged home crowds of 6,676.

I wonder what impact the above will have had on the value of the balance sheet, which was £1,807,791 at 30/06/15?

Since we moved to the new stadium, the value of the balance sheet was at its strongest under the old guard, its value was £3,225,189 for the year end 30/06/12. Since then we have experienced many successes, which should have resulted in significant growth in the value of the balance sheet, mainly:

1) Promotion to division 1.

2) JPT Wembley - Runners up.

3) Play Off Semi Finalists.

4) Concerts - Party at the Proact & Tom Jones.

5) Player sales- Bowery to Villa, Cooper to Leeds, Doyle to Cardiff, Roberts to Portsmouth, Darikwa to Burnley, Clucas to Hull, Morsy to Wigan & Gnanduillet to Orient.

6) Losing our manager to Portsmouth (Compensation).

7) Combined home league crowds for seasons 2012/13, 2013/14, 2014/15 & 2015/16 averaged circa 6,328.

I think its the protocol isn't it? The statement will be merely lifted from the Directors Report in the annual accounts.

So, if the sum total of total incomings ie (transfer fees + gate revenue + hospitality) minus (wages + commissions + general running costs) is less than £0.5m, then the future financial viability of the club is not sustainable. For example the club has accumulated transfer fees of around £2.3m (my estimate). Therefore, including this number in my basic summation means, we lost over £1.5m last season (£500k profit based on £2m received in transfer fees). Going forward, no way is the club going to be able raise anything like that again in transfers. Oh, hang on a sec, hence the gamble on Ched....

The club's annual accounts were released today, showing a profit for the second year running.
The pre-tax profit for the year was £42,328, as against £84,879 the previous year.

Director and company secretary Ashley Carson commented: “Whilst the result is slightly disappointing, at the end of the day the club has made a profit.

“As shown in the profit and loss account, the company's turnover has increased from £7.34m in the previous year to £7.52m. This is mainly due to player sales, something we are dependent on to balance the books. The transfer fees totalled £2,009,352, which increased by £523,625 compared to 2015.

“The reduction in gate revenue and season ticket income was disappointing, falling from £2.05m in the previous year to £1.63m. The cash generated from the sale of players meant that the player budget was held broadly in line with the previous season, but this has obviously seriously hit the profit and loss for the year.

“There was also there was the added cost of replacing the manager and coaching staff during the year. The debt still has to be managed and remains a continuous strain on the club, but we are committed to reducing it going forward.”

The club will be holding its AGM on Monday, November 14 at 7pm in the DCJ Group Spires Restaurant at the Proact and all shareholders are encouraged to attend and ask questions.
