I wonder what the reaction would be if someone said 'OK, see you in the morning'. I reckon there would be one dancing around and two or three hitting the panic button.

I'd imagine we advise and pay for 'X' copies to be printed, whether we sell them is our loss, surely?

A magazine I subscribe to covers its costs and makes a small profit from the advertising revenue meaning actual sales of the magazine (or not) don't contribute to costs only profit. I`d like to think something similar happens with the programme

Unfair comparison.

They've enjoyed L1 play off games and Wembley appearances over recent times.

Errr, hold on a minute...

They of course had to sell their best players to make that kind of profit.

Err, hang on a minute, not that financial year.

An Elton John concert also helped contribute.

Walsall have certainly set the benchmark.

Let's get our priorities right here.
There isn't a decent boozer within walking distance of their ground
Derbyshire is Derbyshire
Yorkshire is Yorkshire

That's very true, but they have a reasonable clubhouse that capitalises on that

Chris Turner's programme notes today.

"Next week the accounts will be distributed and they will show a profit for the second year running.

I have been taking notes of the accounts of other clubs in our division and you can see why some are making huge losses.

There are a lot of clubs of our size who are spending a fortune trying to be successful. We have made it clear that we are trying to reduce the debt whole keeping the highest possible standards of football on the pitch.

We need to develop players that enable us to consolidate financially in this division in what are very tough economic times in football.

We have invested heavily in the first team squad which will be shown in the accounts. It is a fine balance between what you can and can't afford.

There will be a breakdown in the accounts providing shareholders with an in depth analysis on how much it costs to run a professional football club. I think people will be surprised and alarmed but also find it interesting reading"

We will probably be alarmed at how much is paid out in commission payments
