He's still a scumbag. How many of us have text a mate and said 'got a bird' prompting them to join us in sexual activities with a girl we've just met who is obviously worse for wear? If you had substituted "idiot" for "scumbag" I think you would have got a lot more support for your argument. In my opinion you are right what you say and I would hopefully be as good a dad as you seem to be by doing the same. I think you just wrote it with a bit too much passion and anger.

I said to my wife 2 days ago, that this case wouldn't be decided by either legal team, it would be decided on how this judge summed up and would appear to instruct the jury, without actually spelling it out, which verdict to come back with.

As soon as I heard how the judge summed up it was obvious what was going to happen.

I thought the exact same tbh mate. Not saying it was the wrong verdict by any means, I don't think there was enough evidence to convict initially but the judge worded it in a specific way for sure.

It was obvious before the judge(female) summed up and the majority female jury unanimously reached their not guilty decision, at breakneck speed.

Judges sum up to explain to a jury of laymen and women how the law works. In a case that should never have been bought to court in the first place the judges summing up can only point to one conclusion.
