Especially considering our own fan's reaction when it first happened, you know when he was playing for someone other than us!!!!! Hypocrisy of the highest order!

Not from me thanks. Don't tar me as a hypocrite.

You get some grief on here mate, some quite rightly.... However I know you've always like myself believed her case was flimsy and believed Ched not guilty as evidenced by the crap that came our way after our musings in here post first trial. Goku fell by the wayside ;)

So I hate to disappoint whoever said this but...."I ALWAYS knee he wasn't guilty"

Mate I've never said I thought he was guilty of it, just think some of the reactions and blaming her has been nasty.

This whole episodes has been really saddening. Just go on Twitter right now for an example of why rape victims are so afraid to come forward. Some tragic sh** being spoken by both men and women. Stuff like 'that little slag needs locking up for lying' and things like that. I honestly hate this world.

Spot on, disgusting stuff tbh.

Exactly this. The vitriol against her is horrible.

I didn't mention any names did I? I said some of our fans were giving him verbal brickbats when he was playing for the Blunts when the story/trial first broke, some of those same fans will have now not have a word said against him, and when any opposition fans start slinging brickbats the other way they will get their backs up. That is the hypocrisy of which I speak.

He's still a scumbag. How many of us have text a mate and said 'got a bird' prompting them to join us in sexual activities with a girl we've just met who is obviously worse for wear? If that was my son I'd be disgusted by his behaviour. If I was the father of the scumbag's girlfriend, I'd insist she left him immediately. Although, any daughter of mine would have never been involved with that kind of scumbag in the first place.

M, I can see that you have strong feeling on this. I don't know how many men text their mates, prompting them to join in their 'activities'. More than you may think, probably. No, that doesn't make me happy but I'm living in the real world.

As for your daughter, well unfortunately, if she's of age then it isn't your right to control whom she sees and what she does. I wouldn't like my Dad to interfere like that.

As I say, I can see that you feel strongly ....

Indeed.
Only an idiot would conclude at this stage that the jury thought she lied. It's quite possible that the jury thought they both told the truth.

that is very possible, and if so I think you still cannot convict him of rape

If Ched was a free agent walking out of court today, there would be at least 72 managers trying to sign him. For once, I'd say a huge well done to Dave Allen for upstaging them all. CFC is a huge winner. No need to discuss rights and wrongs of the court case at all. No need to gloat. Send Ched and his missus off to Barbados for a fortnight for some solitude is what I'd do, to prove we value him and look after our players.

Send them away for the weekend the Fa cup 2nd round matches are on, that way he wont miss any pitch time !

Very true, perhaps she never lied and perhaps she simple could not remember but that does not mean she did not give consent , evidently evans lawyers had to use section 41 of the law which means sexual activities from other people involving the complanent could be used as evidence, the fact evans statement of the night was similar to a witness who was with the complanent 2 weeks after swayed the jury to come to their conclusion.....its done now, he is a silly boy who hopefully has grown up a lot in the last 3 years.

I'd have loved to see Turner explaining why we were still employing him if had been found guilty. That would have been box office stuff

I wouldn't. I didn't feel the evidence supported him being found guilty and am glad the scenario you refer to didn't happen.

Well he'll be someone elses scumbag very soon

Probably because you're a nasty piece of work.

Evidenced by you 'lol'ing' at the fact he wrongly spent 2 years in jail, or tarring anyone who doesn't agree with you as sycophants (wrongly) and 'Ched Followers'etc etc.

The law is not a tool to be used for public witchhunts and moral crusades, and when it is it demeans the whole institution. Justice has finally been done, after the instruments of state (CPS, initial Judge) badly let down one of it's citizens.

A disgraceful day. I may not legally be allowed to call Evans a rapist but I can still call an evil piece of **** who would be better off dead. Shame on DA for using this horrible affair to make money for the club.

There are no winners but I'm relieved for CFC and Ched that he has been found not guilty. Lets hope the negative chants stop and that He now knuckles down and pays back DA's faith in him and giving him the chance to kickstart his tainted career.

How do yo work that out?

I suspect the "evil piece of ****" part of your comment would justly describe yourself for the disgusting second part of that sentence.
