Tight could be a word to describe him. A mobile phone insurance scam in 2010 and booking the Premier Inn in one name as it's 'cheaper'.

The defence hasn't started yet has it? Evans is in the dock being quizzed by the prosecution.

I think the process is first the prosecution case/witnesses, then the defence case/witnesses. The defendant/complainant/witnesses are cross examined by the defence/prosecution at each stage, if they desire

I think the prosecution has closed and the defence has already started.

Slightly off topic but I just looked at the national map of clown incidents and there appears to be a vacancy in Chesterfield

A psychology teacher once told me that defence always give evidence last as the jury are more likely to remember the last things they hear in court cases. How true that is I don't know.

Professional Footballer in accusations of being thick shocker (not)!!! If he wasn't 'dumb' he wouldn't have got himself in that position in the first place!

How would people feel about him playing for us if he is found guilty again?

I've said before- its where do people draw the line.
There are players that hammer hard drugs, killed kids in drunken/drug road crashes, maimed people, beat women. Personally, anyone committing a serious crime (like above) is done for me.

It would make no difference to me

I wouldn't have signed him in the first because of what he did, whether it was rape or not. This kind of case is difficult and unless something clear cut comes out then it is likely to be subjective. I wouldn't like to be on the jury.

I think we'll keep him no matter what using the argument "he's served his time and he needs to get on with his life". The January transfer window will have nothing to do with it.

 Unfortunately there's always a club so desperate for players that they will take on these people.CFC joined that club.

Lets face it his lawyers have been preparing for this for months , if he is talking dumb then he has been told to talk dumb, if he is talking brash he will have been told to be brash, he isnt trying to present himself as a mensa candidate he is trying to represent himself as a dumb assed footballer who had sex with a dumb ass consenting woman.

From what I've read I'm struggling to see what he's added from last time despite years to think about it. Unless this 'new evidence' is incredibly good for him this looks like going the same way as the first one.

This.

He must have something good to come out otherwise they wouldn't have quashed the original conviction?
