Evans trial starts tomorrow

I really hope that this episode starts a new era in CFC's history. It could really be that big. A turning point. A clean sheet. DA praised for his opportunism and a different relationship with supporters.

I'm expecting the judge to wind up proceedings before lunch. There is no public interest served.

I also don't think Ched is injured. He will have been completely preoccupied with his defence team doing rehearsal after rehearsal.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Danny said the club had received 'specialist advice' as to why Evans couldn't play. But he didn't say if this was from a physio or a barrister.

Actually Danny went into medical detail when he discussed the 'specialist advice' - I really don't think he was being clever with words.

That must have been off the record because I didn't hear it in the interview.

Do you know what specific injury Evans has?

There's part of his heel (Danny couldn't name it, said RW was best man for detail on the injury) that had popped and the risk was that if it happened again it could be months and months on the sideline.

Regardless of the detail he gave, the fact that he went into the injury after talking about the specialist gave me every impression it was a medical professional they heard from, not a law specialist.

Wasn't off the record either, was in the press conference.

It doesn't much matter, assuming it's not long term. I'd say it's in everybody's interest to let him concentrate on practicing for the trial, 24 hours a day if necessary. When it's a success, I'd give him time off afterwards anawl, perhaps a fortnight in Barbados. The stress must be unbearable.

Perhaps Plantar Fasciitis? - although I would have thought he is a bit young for that.

DW: "After going to see the specialist again he thought it was a bit too soon to ask him to come back, and if it did go, if he had a problem with it again obviously it could be months and months. We can't even gamble with it, we have to take the word of the specialist and sit him down.
"I don't know what you call it, Roger is the best man to answer that. It's got a funny name, the ligament in the heel, he's popped that, so we have to be very careful with it, we don't want it to linger any longer."

I heard Evans explain to someone it was the soft tissue in his foot/heel.
Hence my guess (as a past sufferer)
