I'd guess that if one caviat of AC and CT investing the reported £30k each in the PPP (effectively steering it away from the impending iceberg!) was that as investors and not directors, they get a 'man on the inside'.

Up until recently, Turner was a director of both CFC Football Development School & CFC International Football Academy. He was also a 50% shareholder in both businesses, as to whether that remains the case is not known. So Turner was, and perhaps still is, very much on the inside.

I was blocked when I attempted to follow the above twitter feed a couple of weeks ago, when I emailed to ask why i was given the following questions to answer, when I did the block remained....

Good Morning.

Could you answer a number of questions:
1. Why would you wish to follow The International Academy?
2. Why would you want any form of association with this company?
3. What benefit would your association with us bring the international academy?
4. Are you a member of a public forum or message board, if so which one?
5. Do you live locally and which club do you support?

Please confirm your answers, by return email.

Kind Regards.

Liam Sutcliffe
International Academy Director
CFC International Football Academy
Chesterfield FC
E: [email protected]

Is this allowed? What are the rules about having a twitter account?

I think you can choose to block whoever you want, it's your account.

It does seem very heavy handed though and does show their level of paranoia.

Is something going on at the PPP?

1) Their site is STILL offline.
2) LS appears to have altered his LinkedIn (it now tells you very little)
3) LS name has been struck from the official CFC website
4) I understand that the PPP no longer have an u19's team

Point 4,

@CFCINTACADEMY: We have two squads of players at U19 level and league fixtures were released yesterday. Let's get it on!#MakeItHappen

My guess is that AC/CT don't think LS has the business acumen to effectively run PPP.

Exemplified if even someone who 'struggles with numbers' himself has doubts.

But hold on - where was the vetting to reveal any shortcomings when our CEO got into bed with Sutcliffe?

Why have both Turner and Carson supposedly loaned him tens of thousands of pounds if they have such severe reservations?

Anyway, I guess Sutcliffe's blocking, allied to the cancelled meetings, show Turner's comments on 'transparency' and claims his 'door's always open' as just more empty waffle.

Some might use a less charitable term.

I stand corrected, this was info passes to me, however I must confess I didn't check it out myself before posting. I apologise.......Did you 'hear' that LS, CT? An apology........it's what those of us with any form of decency do when a mistake has been made.

Re the vetting.........CS did vet LS, but employed him nonetheless. (Allegedly)

As I mentioned sometime ago, the individual whom CT spoke with regarding LS advised staying well away due to the mess he left behind in a previous position. Once again to avoid tying a legal noose around ones neck, this info was told to me and therefore is second hand and may be erroneous in parts.

Its not exactly fair to blame chris turner for championing the enterprise in its infancy. When the development was formed there was that many kids clamouring to sign up at the initial night that dave allen who evidently came up to take a look ended up signing players on so i was told. The development should have been a massive success infact it was such an enjoyable experience that my son who came through the development to the academy packed up and went back.It is only gross missmanagement that ruined it.In the right hands it could have been good with proper games programmes instead of the dross that they used to serve up and quality coaching it is finished now and cfcs reputation is in tatters in the local grassroits community regardless of what any cfc employee will try to tell you.

I'm a little confused with your post!

I wasn't blaming CT for championing the DC,have you misunderstood perhaps?

The rest of your post - I agree fully, if run correctly it could be a gold mine, with the very real possibility of supplying the academy with those who excel.

That might explain why CT was given so much freedom to operate.

So Dave Allen himself attended the opening of a separate enterprise that had no financial connection to CFC?

Notwithstanding all the other problems, I'd be prepared to draw a line under this if CT admitted that what he really meant to say was that CFC incurred no long standing debt through this enterprise. DA has already admitted a connection in his Chesterfield Post interview a bit ago.

When ex employees of the DC have been unable to get a meeting with Turner to discuss their concerns about how it was being run, it's hardly surprising there's little interest in sitting down with supporters to discuss their concerns.

To say the subject has been one big eye-opener is very much an understatement.
