Now we've signed Anderson and a possibility of SEB going, we must sign a strike partner for Ched.

This is the key one for me...we need to get SEB off the books because his salary is a drain on resources

Question: doesn't now turning down a supposed transfer request, snubbing bids and insisting Ariyibi stays nullify two years worth of 'can't stand in a player's way if they wanna better themselves' style excuses?

Maybe the debt is now sufficiently down that we can make these decisions.

LOL.

I suppose if the offer met CFC valuation and thus benefitted finances and new player arrivals, "why stand in the way etc..."
If not, just say no.

Chris, you know better. I was in the lounge when Sam said he wouldn't reach his milestone of appearances and that he was off. He announced he was off before the deal was signed. Totally different scenario.

Everybody is taking the offer of 800k as gospel, was this figure made up and included appearance, promotion and other add ons? What was the true amount of cash that we would have received? Only a few people will know that answer.

If DA has put his own price tag on Gboly then I won't mind. What I do know is that Gboly's agent is a nightmare to CFC, Gboly has had his head turned by a reported offer of 6k per week from a championship side and the club will not be bullied by an agent.

Somebody may be leaving and a possible incoming may happen but it has to be 1 out for 1 in, still talking

Rumours about Southend & Bristol are incorrect and another player has refused a move.

So Dan Gardner is the one who refused to move

Hopefully we get this rumoured Seb deal pushed through

The Dan Gardner one is a little puzzling as he's currently IN the side and we don't have a better option.

I can understand Dan not wanting to move, established himself a starting place this season.

Going somewhere on loan. Not Bristol or Southend though as first thought.

You've countered your own point, Rob.

Two players, both in the final year of their deals, both allegedly snubbing our offer after having their heads turned (though Morsy wasn't even made one), yet the Chairman supposedly insists one stays whilst allowing the other, indeed a succession of others to leave.

Look; every player has his price and in some cases those prices have been fair enough.

It's just the apparent duplicity and contradiction that's led to the poverty of mistrust we're currently experiencing.

I think his grip on his starting place is very weak.

If it was him, the fact we happy to send him out on loan speaks volumes

The last few games he has been coming back to his best, he run his socks off last night all over the pitch and gave Dion good support.

I suppose one difference is that if Sam had stayed to the end of the season (forgetting he, himself, told everybody he was off before a deal had been agreed) he would have gone for nowt having attained the age of 24.

Even if Gboly stays to the end of the season we will get summat as he will still be under 24

I agree he worked hard but he was still extremely careless on numerous occasions.

We all see a different game Dave but I thought his game was error strewn and generally poor. On that performance I wouldn't be surprised if he is left out Saturday. I get the feeling that apart from Nolan nobody in that team last night is guaranteed a first team place.

Gave the ball away on numerous occasions, crossing of the ball overall was poor as well.

Did not look committed at all.
