Guys, whatever you say, I'm going. Is there anything else that you'd like me to 'think long and hard about?'. Should I grow my hair and put on a pretty frock for you? Pffft

that's how the original statement read, there was something last week 'clarifying' that we voted against apparently

I think the ambiguity may result from the fact that the FL could choose to rebut any positive statement from the Club to the effect they voted against. As it stands, it's as clear as mud.

Can anyone seriously think that our representatives voted against, though? Not a chance in hell in my opinion.

No, on this occasion I am genuinely filling the log store!

That's what the club's statement said at the time quite clearly. Unless they lied at the time of course.

the only thing making me want to go is the self righteous attitude of some fans telling everyone that they MUST boycott this game and if you go you are supporting the ridiculous competition

crowd will be tiny because of opposition and the price - but if people want to go and support the team then they shouldn't be vilified for it

I know what you are saying. No one likes to be told what they should or should not do. But a boycott is perfectly justified tonight in my opinion and I certainly will not be attending. The ambiguous position of the club has merely made me more determined not to be a part of it.

Is it better or worse than paying 12 quid to see a friendly against Leicester U-21's?

Not comparable to a pre season friendly as they are always a lottery as to who plays.
What grates on me is the patronising attitude of making L1&2 full time professional sides take on the 'big boys' (laughable as we are playing wolves!) kids / youth / under whatever teams, just demonstrates to me how little our level of football is thought of by the powers that be.
If folk want to go then fine go and enjoy it, I have no issue with it, but I'm not paying (too much) to watch a mid season friendly (in my opinion)

I agree, the pricing of tonight's fixture is ridiculous - should be ST holders free and a fiver with kids for a quid

However, I don't see this competition as a test for B teams in the league, the powers that be will do that anyway if they want to - if this is a test it has already failed due to lots of the top teams not entering!

That is also my understanding.

CT was going vote against the change but realised the majority of other clubs were voting in favour so he changed his vote. This irregardless of his knowledge that the fans were not in favour.

Basically our CEO is weak when it comes to decision making.

In that case, and to reiterate cartman, each fan choosing not to go is a sign of disapproval of this competition and our hierarchy's decision to vote for it.
