I've not missed a home fixture in this competition since it started. Regardless of whether I agree with the format or not I'm not going to stop now. I really don't see why I have to justify my position on this. I fully understand why people aren't going but that's their decision not mine.

I'm not asking you to justify it; this is a healthy debate not a row. I think it's a shame that this idea is supported by clubs and by some supporters by attending. It's your money, you spend it as you see fit. However if you're are concerned about the future of lower league football (which being realistic our team will more than likely always be a part of) I would not go. I'm not interested in our club being used as sporting stabilisers for academy kids from wealthy clubs.

Unfortunately it will happen as long as idiots in the countries Boardrooms get to vote and have a say on these things

The idea is such a disaster and so unpopular that it is not surprising he has tried to distance himself. After all nothing that goes wrong is his doing and most of the things that go right are

Probably because it's just par for the course, another addition to a long list

AC actually told me a few weeks ago that he'd voted against, the hint being to put it out on here, I asked him about the contradictory website article and heard no more about it

Some of you may find this interview the chief sports writer at the news had about the checkatrade trophy.

Confirmation that the venture makes no sense whatsoever

Don't like his comment that suggests the whole game solution is a given "it needs to be running for 2019..."

The sooner Harvey is out of office the better

I had a few beers and I can't be bothered going into detail but my critique of answers aren't printable; a complete booted and suited total turd

Clubs and fans in total harmony!!! Harvey needs to be put down

After tomorrow nights attendances the EFL might just do it if they have sense

Now i'm puzzled. Were we "in" or "out" then??

After 'initially' not accepting the new structure?

Did we ever get to the bottom of this? Any web source seems to state that we voted for the changes, but of course the authors of those articles may just have been as "misled" as ourselves?

The club's statement at the time was pretty clear. Turner, on behalf of CFC, was initially against it but ended up voting for it.

The majority of clubs did vote for it. I'm sure it was reported at the time that less than a handful voted against it.

I'm not expecting to get much enjoyment from tomorrows game, at least I'll meet up with my mates to sort out what time we are leaving on Saturday.

So that official club statement strongly implies he voted for it, like a lot of us said all along. But now he's trying to say he opposed it!
Jesus, no,wonder nobody believes a word this man says. Roll on the meeting, and yes I hope I'm there, and I'll come from behind my keyboard.

It seems he was desperately trying to think of something to say to show he was pro fan after a disastrous summer showing the opposite and thought he could say this as no one would be any the wiser incredibly totally forgetting about his comments at the time.
