Did Pompey get a fine last season when Cookie fielded the kids vs Exeter and lost 2-0?

**Edit** - Pimpey, not Pompey

£11 to watch a youth side is pure greed yet again from our Directors aren't they interested in trying to encourage fans to turn up. I think we will be very lucky if we get 1500 at the game, I don't know hardly anybody who are going so far, I'll see how I feel on the night.Well done to Millwall, £5 and £1 is a fair price and the other £6 saved by their fans will probably be spent on a pie and a drink. Just hope we don't get any injuries on the night, Wimbledon away is the most important.

Think we will be lucky to break a 1000 for this game.

I won't be going out of principle to watch us play an U21 opponent

I hate all the negativity

Don't you know we've just broken the 100 barrier for this game with a whole 4 days to go

1500? Half it and you may still be overestimating.

Quite simply anyone and everyone across all clubs concerned should be boycotting these matches as a message to the FA who think that they can solve the international problem by giving a few kids a few games against lower league players. The situation is a farce especially considering the big sides have d clines the invitation. If they are a success and people turn up then that will only encourage the FA to look at placing such teams elsewhere eg the lower leagues themselves. The simplest thing to do regardless of price is for nobody to turn up, nobody to comment about the games on social media and to basically pretend that the games aren't happening.

meanwhile of course the premier league gets fatter and fatter, clubs get richer and richer and fewer players get purchased from lower leagues.

Quite simply boycott this ridiculous idea and stick two fingers up to the FA.

Yes. And you do this hear too if you make more than A certain number of changes still.

Rather ironically our academy side have been asked to make up the numbers in some under 23's Premier League Cup too.

If they get 1,000 then that's exactly 1,000 too many.
The people who organised this sham should be sat alongside Blatter because they must share the same braincell.

Wow people get on their high horses slagging off those who choose not to go because Evans is playing (a moral choice)
Yet some moan at those who choose to go to this game - some people eh?!

In my opinion anyone paying to attend this game is validating the competition. I'll be very disappointed if any of my friends plan to go.

Apart from some friendlies, league matches for a few weddings and the odd holiday I probably haven't missed more than 30 home games in 46 years but this one has no interest to me. If it is classed as a competitive fixture it will be the first one that I have chosen to miss.

For me at best it is a cross between a friendly and youth team game combined. The defining factor is that it is a mockery of the lower leagues.

The Premier League clubs have all but ruined our traditional cup competitions, let's send a strong message out in an early defence of any of them trying to join a new league structure.

If I end up at Crewe it will be in my role at the Bridge Inn Blues Away Travel in order to take anyone who chooses to go as part of our pledge to provide transport to all "first' team fixtures. Also, there is always the option of the pub when I get there!

We should be aiming for the lowest attendance of the tournament next week.

We should use this Saturday to get the message across to fans who might not be aware of whats going off with this whole charade from the FA.

I can see some fans hoodwinked into thinking we will be facing Wolverhampton Wanderers first 11.
