He isn't worth 1mil. He's only got 11months left on his contract, and whilst he's exciting with the ball at his feet, his anticipation is poor which loses him a yard.

He'll be gone for an undisclosed fee, and the rumoured fee will be about 700k at most

 He'll need to go on a good run of form as the likes of Folan,Bowery and Doyle did,to attract any offer anywhere near 700k.
Many a good tune

And like John Stones for £47.54M? And Che Adams- striker -for £1.7M - 4 goals in his last 18 appearances for Sheff Utd.

Owned by the same people at the DT so no surprise, especially as the piece is written by Graham..

If we accept anything less than £750,000, as far as I'm concerned that we be the final straw for me. Gboly is a raw unfinished talent, but with a bit of luck and patience he has the potential to at least match Clucas and play in the Premier League.

Barnsley are trying it on, they have a pot full of cash and don't want to pay the going rate. They are relying on us being desperate to cash in the final piece of treasure out of the very bare looking treasure chest.

Tell them to ballcocks, as are not going to find a replacement cheap.

My worry is he will be gone before the weekend.

So what do we think if we keep hold? ....we've offered him a contract, he goes elsewhere in the summer..

USA international, age, teams he's played at, interest from clubs taken into consideration & also the valuation placed on him.........gamble & risk...but a damn sight more than what Barnsley are offering...why do teams take the pee with smaller teams (actually Barnsley are similar to us).....'oh here you go, here's £150k....that's a lot to a club your size'.....cheeky c u next Tuesday's.

Just go to tribunal at the end of the season if the money isn't right.

Agreed - we'll probably get 200k at tribunal.

You have to equate how many more points won/bums on seats Boly is going to gain us this season. I would guess quite a lot.

The tribunals are not adverse to including a sell on fee as well.

So, we all agree; let's keep him. Plus, he is Dave Allen's favourite player.

If you honestly think that gboly will play in the prem, you need your head looking at.

We should snap the hands off any team will to pay 500k plus for him.

Now I'm sure you all know I'm not our CEOs biggest fan, but I think the board will hold on this one. If he signs a new contract and he continues to improve he will be worth far more than Barnsley will offer. He'll be here next week unless the million is beat.

Hes not from our academy, and he's been here a short amount of time. We're not really going to get that much.

Jimmy Ryan wasn't from Accrington's academy, yet the tribunal set an ultimate fee of £195,000 plus a 20% sell on fee when he signed for Scunny. That was 5 years ago, so with football inflation as it is, I can't see all being lost if we go through to next summer.

(Note to readers; Scunny offloaded JR to avoid paying the full fee, hence the myth that JR was on the scrap heap -even though he was a local rag's player of the season when he was released.)

Personally. With GA scaring the living bejesus out of defenders, Ched scaring the living bejesus out of defenders, Oshea scaring the bejesus out of defenders, Gardner coming into form aswell this season could be more productive (profit wise) if we keep them because it would be a disappointing start to another long season if we get rid of Gboly already. I'm not saying everything goes through him but whenever he's near the ball he's attracting two defenders which creates space for others. That's a good reputation to have four games into the league season.
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

I too remember that really embarrising interview he gave

If he sells him for a few hundred grand now, it will be another indicator of how full of faeces he is

I'm sure he released from those clubs, hence no compo, happy to be corrected

Unlike his replacement, Chelsea probably have a 90% sell on clause
