As have I. ACL, PCL, Medial ligaments, split kneecap. 6 artificial carbon fibre ligaments with lateral reinforcements. 16 weeks in pot, 12 months in a brace. All caused by studs sticking while bowling at Thorsby Colliery cricket ground.
Is it time to release him? Sorry but the money could be better used. He has been given almost a year to recover

That sounds horrific! I sprained my ACL 13 weeks ago and that was agony.

I think that is where all the well healed private school types end up (daddy's money buys them a practice) who aren't good enough to get in the NHS

Andy Hamer who first operated on me specialized in rare orthopeadics, a condition called Avascular Necrosis which had a professor at Weston Park was scratching his head at and believe it or not i told him what it was thanks to a forum and a guy in America who sadly died from his cancer that put me onto it, Andy saved one hip but the other was too far gone so his understudies did my hip replacement, but 15 months ago i fractured my femur it was a bad one i saw the xray and Andy Gorman did the repair the royal hadn't got anyone to do it so off i went back to Sheffield...

Had it yesterday, back home. Reportedly puts him back 2-3 weeks.
Tommy's injury usually takes 3 months to get back from after operation. He had that 3 weeks ago, which would see him out for another 2 months. However being a keeper could see him out for longer than that.

Doesn't it get paid for by the pfa?
I no when players stop playing, they can get private treatments/opps from the pfa, unsure if players still playing do or not tho.

The pfa pay for all treatment now. It is also the players choice where to go as there was an incident where a club chose where a player was going and rather than repair him, it ended his career because of a mistake made. As the player chooses where to go there is no liability for the club if there is issues with treatment.

When was it established that the player required another operation, before or after he reported back for pre-season?

Not sure. Only saw he'd had the op yesterday when he tweeted he was back from it.

He wasn't doing the same training as the other players, so i would assume he had another scan with his medics and was waiting for the results.....

Ruptured my ACL playing football for a Navy team in 94, had it reconstructed in 98 and ruptured that in 02, nipped a bit.

Not sure where all the love for Angel comes from.

Played about 4 games for us after coming back from long term knee injuries. His body is failing. Another Saunders mess of a signing

I wonder how many days/weeks of the closed season he's spent with Rodger Wylde & Mal Purchase?
