If people knew everything that went on at any football league club... In fact even any semi pro club you could probably find processes... People... Or actions that someone could find questionable somewhere in their ranks... Chesterfield Fc is probably amongst the cleanest clubs... Given the size of the club and the town... If the kit man farts someone like sammy Spireite knows what he had in his shopping trolley the night before... ;)

Who are the moral bastion clubs?? Arsenal ? History of bungs... More than once...

Man Utd? Players missing drugs tests...

Chelsea... Sexual harassment cases against Eva carniero

Liverpool... Buying up terraced houses around Anfield and letting them rot ...

The list is endless

Speaking of morals, can you categorically confirm that Dennis Bingham - or whatever name he's going by this week - is no longer supplying scholars to PPP?

Here's a clue... You can't be a borderline stalker and complain about attention...

Haha mate that question is about as boring as the DT's "former non league footballer" line....

Not a clue... I've been in Town for about one month in the last six...

insufficient time then for you to be a DT expert.
'former non league footballer' is far funnier satire than you have ever managed. It makes me smile every time.

Don't be under any illusion that Derby scouting around Chesterfield is something new, many teams scout around our region. Legally they are well within their rights to do so. Maybe the better lads do get taken from under the noses of our own scouts, but I'm afraid that's just the way it is.

Derby have today announced they've retained their Cat 1 status following their latest PL audit.

Reading their press release, it seems to suggest that Cat 1 gives you a greater area to pull in players, rather than just locally.

That shouldn't bother us......oops I mean the DC via the PPP are signing players from Rwanda or God knows where.

Meanwhile the only thing PPP have retained following an audit by Oxford Academy (?) is their cat...

..allegedly.

Someone involved at PPP until fairly recently has alleged that parents were being instructed to buy kit directly from Turner and Sutcliffe's enterprise at a heavily marked up price. I'm also led to believe that Sutcliffe was - perhaps still is - some sort of agent for Sondico, the company supplying this gear, and that he, PPP or both received money from that firm. Indeed there's a story, possibly apocryphal, that a lad whose parents bought a full rig-out at considerable expense after he joined towards the end of last season is now being told he'll need a whole new outfit - despite the previous one hardly being used!

Now let me say loud and clear that there's absolutely nothing illegal about any of this and if parents choose to hand over their money to T&S, well, that's up to them. Thing is my lad was at a similar set-up for a couple of years yet asked for nothing like the prices being quoted here.

So can anyone confirm or deny these reports?

I can confirm that they have been told they need to buy the new sponsors kit. Heard it from a few parents of kids still in the PPP.
One parent, despite buying a sondico kit just a few weeks ago has indeed been told they need the new kit in order to participate with the PPP.
A similar deal happened from change of 2015-2016 season, many parents that had children signed into the PPP had just received Puma kit purchased months before but took months to arrive, then LS sent an email shortly after, telling them they had to buy new sondico kit, gave parents a deadline too. It's kids training for gods sake they don't need a change of kit every year. Anyone would think they had something to gain from doing it.....

Why was the 5 year deal with Sondico terminated after just 12 months?

Could it have anything to do with rates of commissions?

And to go off at a tangent, is there any news on the 'major new sponsorship deal' Turner was quoted as announcing early in this thread or others Sutcliffe has trumpeted on social media?

I would've thought the whole point of sponsorship is the accompanying publicity, however as with the tour ticket raffle it's all gone very, very quiet.

If a whole host of folk really have received what they were owed it would appear PPP suddenly secured funding from somewhere - but where? From who? Why no desperately needed positive PR?

I guess Town fans can't be blamed for being hugely suspicious under the circumstances.

Nobody knows anymore mate, the DC, PPP or whatever it's called tells so many stories I don't think they know anymore.
It's all an absolute disgrace that they are allowed to be associated with us. Roll on the AGM.
I know my first question.

No, sir.

The Sondico announcement can be found here: Err, it's err, Liam, err, Sutcliffe

To save you listening to him and all the "errs", it's dated April 7th, 2015. Liam says:

- it's a 5 year deal that they signed.
- it's going to be great for parents in terms of affordability
- it's a partnership that'll work both ways
- it will provide a lot of options for parents - Hobson's choice?
- it's affordable and they'll get their kits in a timely fashion
