This is the exact reason that we do not do well as a national team, It is time that the football league put a cap on transfer fees. But as it involves Mega Money this will never happen.
It is interesting to see Port Vale going overseas for players and introducing them to league one. Perhaps they should change the name of the English Football league to the International Football league.

We've been there done that, so it's nothing new for league one. There's been loads of overseas players in the lower leagues over the years, remember Charlie Ntarmack for Walsall, ex Cameroon international?

Man U want to pay £100 million for Pogba. Where does that leave clubs like us? pushing us further down to oblivion and beyond our dreams OBSCENE

I very much doubt they want to pay it, i don't think he is worth half that figure, United could get 3 quality players for that figure, but as fans what can you do, i would sooner get shut of Mourhino before he even starts...

Unfortunately every time we pay our sky sports subscription we contribute to our own demise .

That's why I've never paid a penny to Sky and never will.

John Chiedozie

Gus Uhlenbeek

IIRC we once started a game at Notts County with only 3 Englishmen in the starting XI.

Surely we cant have this conversation without mentioning Tcham N'Toya, who somehow is still only 32yrs old, or Sebastien Grimaldi!!

Less in theory....his last new contract at Atletico set his buy out clause at £76m (€100m) so if a club pays that they can have him.

the financial gulf from the prem down is the biggest gulf of all, not necessarily the footballing ability but the money up there is hideous, bournemouth have just had an offer of £15 million accepted from Liverpool for one player who did ok last season, BOURNEMOUTH £15 MILLION, like many i have lost interest in that league, except for when those teams get beaten by lower league clubs in the cups.

It's much easier when you have a Russian squillionaire at the helm and a shed load of TV money coming in this summer.

Yep certainly is , I was just musing on the fact Leeds were a massive club back in the day whilst Bournemouth were often 4th tier .

199 Jordan Bowerys would be permanently offside and the other would be facing the wrong way
Derbyshire is Derbyshire
Yorkshire is Yorkshire

Never the twain shall meet.
