Fixed....as Hilly mentions its one thing looking fit etc to run arouund, its going to be another thing completely playing to the standard he was at. Its a long time since he kicked a ball competitively and thats going to take some getting into. I dont play football to any sort of level but even i can tell the difference the first time i play after a break of a few months.

I understand the concerns but I am sure Danny and Chris Morgan etc will have weighed up where Ched is at pyhsically and sports pschologists will have been working with him and passing on info.. Again with respect Ched is not any old amateur who has just decided to start playing again. He will have been training behind closed doors with clubs....like Oldham who signed him but due to media pressure it never happened, his physical appearance does not give the impression of someone who has been on holiday for four years and just lazing around. This move has probably been on the cards for several months and therefore giving Ched the incentive to get fit, fit. Any player who has not played in a league match will obviously lost some touch and control but things will have been put in motion to get him back in a measured way. It will take time and he will not be back to where he left off. I will have little wager tho...that he starts off better than SEB did this time last year.

Apart from the one of him sat on the bench, guess he doesn't need any other pre season training 😉

Missed that one. He probably wants to keep a low profile so that he can surprise us.

Oneil update now on main cfc site. He seems a fair way off playing.
We should get the go-ahead in a couple of weeks to start doing some further advanced training work and then we'll progress on from there.

Is it me or we've had problems with injury diagnosis.

Evatt twice diagnosed incorrectly before achilles was sorted and now oneill.

Tommy a different issue but I cannot understand why when we were safe he was allowed to play at Bradford when he could have had the operation on his shoulder after the injury was found after the Bury game.

Evo looks like he needs to shed some timber.
Hird can't start the season cos of a red card at Bradford.

When it comes to seeing specialists the Club gets no say in who is seen. PFA rules mean it is the player who chooses where they go with a fund provided to clubs by the PFA. Evo admitted at a Speakeasy that the expert recommended to him had got it wrong.

Yet another misdiagnosis, now many is that , players with serious injuries that aren't diagnosed, players with niggles that turn out to be serious?

Somebody needs to take a serious look at this sports science/injury gravy train

Diagnosis are made by qualified doctors at medical premises, the players themselves choose who they see. Evatt had the guy recommended to him (not by someone at our club), he has now told everyone not to use him.

The gravy train includes "specialists" in sports injury, obviously

I wonder if the specialist who cocked it up does the next operation for free or do we just move on to the next cowboy
