For the record the pitch is fine as it will have been under cover but they reckon the bowlers run ups are iffy still but its a big call at 9am to say they wont be fit at any point today. I played on there a couple of weeks ago and it was wet but fine, some of the lads i play with were down there yesterday and reckoned it was drier yesterday than the day we played on there.

But they are used to playing in English summers where god forbid it rains now and then, they have brand new kit not 5yr old spikes that are worn down and they will play on non perfect outfields now and then.

You played on "The Park" wearing 5 year old spikes? Sacrilege.
At least you wouldn't have to worry about collecting Canadian Goose crap underfoot

The spikes were probably some of the newest kit i wore...suspect my cricket trousers are far older than that! I'm at the stage of my cricketing career where i dont buy new kit and the only new stuff i've had recently have been new shirts we've been given for a change of sponsor or alike!
The other week on there was probably the first time i've played on Queens Park and not had to constantly avoid the good crap that normally covers the outfield. That said we were that far over in terms of the wicket on the square we were nearly playing in Debenhams!!

Had day off yesterday arrived just as they cancelled the days play
Hung around a while well walked round the pitch and the going as they say down there was good to soft
Soon as it rained late on yesterday there was no chance of them starting today or probably tomorrow as well
A real shame the same thing happened a few years ago heavy rain again think the boating lake over flowed v Yorkshire leading to a wash out
They CBC need to raise the level of the pitch or do something at least to aid the drainage
72+ points Play off's
83+ points Party Time
