The beauty is, and I accept without having seen them play or how fit they all are, I struggle to see many players as shoe-ins whether we play 3-5-2, 4-4-2, 4-2-3-1, 4-1-4-1, 4-5-1 or whatever.
The oldest man likely to get near the team is Evatt but I'd like to think the potential left-sided CB to arrive can be regarded as his replacement. Nothing against Ian but I really can't see him playing 40+ games next season.
Evo has said he wants to end his career at town. When that will be is open to speculation or injury, however if and when we get his replacement I hope he will be of the same physical stature, a big strong 'knock you off the ball pal' type who takes no prisoner. After all that we have had to go through last season, and the off field shenanigans thus far we need a bit of hope and light at the end of the tunnel.
